  1. Ok, Ok, now you all can go back to the nerdery.
  2. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 28, 2009 -> 01:14 AM) And Rock. You are nuts. MJ's "All MJ" teams would have gotten swept by this inside/outside Orlando squad. Especially if you mean pre Pippen days. Pff, yeah right. Are you saying this is a crazy good inside/outside squad and that they are better than several of the teams the Bulls beat in the late 80's/early 90's? Because you are f***ing high if you think that. IN 88-89 I bet that non-inside scoring team featuring a 22.7 ppg Patrick Ewing was pretty easy to get by. You know who was also pretty crappy in the paint? Brad Daugherty, who the Bulls faced in the first round. You might want to take a deeper look at the teams that those Bulls teams played and beat with virtually one good player. Many of those teams could have had rings in the NBA now. Saying that this Orlando team would have swept the Bulls is comical.
  3. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 28, 2009 -> 10:43 AM) Steroids and Failure. Laporta is good though.
  4. Why are Hafner and Laporta down in AAA?
  5. Lillicurse go back to where you came from.

  9. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 21, 2009 -> 11:57 PM) In tonight's game Gywnn Jr got a standing O and then Hairston walked it off for a single. The ol standing O for the guy that knocked you out of playoff contention a few seasons ago.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:49 PM) Mercy, I thought Anderson got all of that. I thought that was a gapper.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:32 PM) It was in the paper and KW called JR who was in NYC walking down Park Ave. He supposedly almost walked into a car off the curb. He jokingly said that he felt rich walking down Park Ave. so he had no problem with the deal. He said if he happened to be walking down 3rd Ave. he wouldn't have felt so rich. Pffff. Come on, the paper? Yes, besides being bumbling business men, they also completely give the newspapers every intimate detail of their lives and their decisions.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) Pens will win it. I will go with 6 games. Ovechkin and Crosby are just unstoppable right now. It would be awesome if they were linemates.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:27 PM) I considered that until I found out KW didn't tell JR about it until very recently. Wouldn't JR want to know why KW isn't spending the money that was allocated? Found out about it how exactly?
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:08 PM) I actually like JR. There are so many inconsistencies with finances though, it makes one wonder. On one hand here's this exceptionally bright man who will tell you sports ownership isn't a good business to be in, so after he bought the White Sox, he put together a group to buy the Bulls, now at 72 he's rumored to have interest in the bankrupt Phoenix Coyotes. The White Sox have no money to spend, yet they try to sign Hunter and then Fukudome, then agree to a trade for Peavy. And for a guy who needs to watch every penny, he sure does have a nice ride, that private jet of his. He doesnt make his money on the Sox, he makes it on the Bulls and the United Center and his other businesses. He also has other folks to answer to on the board for the Sox. Quite frankly, anything he says about business any which way is better than any input you or I or anyone else on the board could add. JR>all of us Also on the Peavy thing, KW said he had been working on that deal for quite a long time, did you ever stop and think that they left some payroll space to add an impact player like that as the season wore on? Thats why you dont blow your entire load before first pitch.
  15. Wow, what a bulls*** goal to end our season. Those boards always seem to take us down. Good game by Joe Cred...errr Huet. we'll get you next season Detroit.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:04 PM) That save by Huet is officially the best save I've ever seen in my life. He's gonna need a few more.
  17. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:03 PM) I saw that yesterday, pretty funny. Len and Bob talked about him and his kids today. Bob was like "what a great family."
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 27, 2009 -> 11:50 AM) http://deadspin.com/5270503/carlos-marmol-...ne=true&s=x Whoops!! I couldnt let this get lost in this thread.
  19. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ May 27, 2009 -> 07:28 PM) longshot Its possible because I think KW knows he doesnt need Wise's lefty bat on the big club.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 27, 2009 -> 07:00 PM) BTW, they aren't losing $40-50 million a year unless you're using Jerry Reinsdorf's accountant Gotta love that not-so-subtle shot at JR. Hilarious.
  21. Barker is really coming into his own as a defenseman. I'd like to see him and Hjalms be linemates next season.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 27, 2009 -> 05:13 PM) That's Fields's punishment for looking better the last couple games. He has looked better, however I think Weaver's stuff just dominates Josh, pretty decent move there I think.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 27, 2009 -> 05:11 PM) But Lebron doesn't exactly have the Bad Boy Pistons or the late 80's Celtics or the Showtime Lakers standing in his way right now. With all due respect to what Orlando has done in this series, Jordan's Bulls teams where he played by himself would have taken care of them.
