  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) Worse gameday photo, Sean Gallagher or Ramon Vazquez? chipper jones....especially considering a young chipper was a guy girls used to drool over
  2. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) Is there a bigger waste of money in baseball than Buehrle, Thome, and Konerko? there are actually lots, but i get your point
  3. Dye, Thome Konerko cant get it done for us, and Gomes, Riggans, Gross get get it done for tampa....2008 = bizzaro year
  4. considering this Rays team is 23-10 at home, if we can hang on to this game a split would be actually pretty solid
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) OC's hitting rockets all over the place now! now we just need swisher, konerko and thome to heat up lol....but hey 1 out of the four hitting is better than 0
  6. ramirez has been rock solid...its nice to have a guy out there who is at least an average hitter when we are so used to juan
  7. thome to pinch hit...maddon counters with a lefty...i would way rather have had ramirez vs. a righty than thome vs. a lefty...bad move ozzie
  8. this rays team will be unreal if these guys mature like they should...price has better stuff than kazmir and is the ultimate competitor, hes probably ready right now to be honest, but im sure they will take it slow with him future rotation of kazmir price shields and garza (+ maybe mcgee, sonnanstine, niemann, wade davis) reid brignac will prolly be a solid SS, not to mention they are set to get a pretty darn good player in this years draft
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 31, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) Compared to April and May of 07, only slightly, actually. Through April and May of last year, AL teams averaged 48 home runs and NL teams 54. Through April and May of this year, coming in to today, AL teams averaged 54 home runs and NL teams 48. really? about 2 weeks ago i heard that HRs were way, way down...on pace to be down like 500 from two years ago and like (which is absurd, considering thats basically 3 teams worth, which is 10%)
  10. looked like alexei caught it the first time i saw it...great hitting by upton
  11. toby hall with a nice play.....he throws wayyy better than AJ
  12. QUOTE (G&T @ May 31, 2008 -> 06:41 PM) Crede gets picked off second? I can't wait to see that. terrible call
  13. this stadium is by far more crowded than i have ever seen it...and with good reason
  14. javy having trouble locating again....ugh and cabrera misses the pickoff throw
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 31, 2008 -> 05:20 PM) you having audio issues? yeah i was..it seems to be ok now
  16. mlbtv is broadcasting the game right now and its hawk and dj....screw you fox
  17. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 31, 2008 -> 03:51 PM) I'm not high on Alvarez like everyone else, and if I had the choice between him and Smoak, I'd choose Smoak. Hell, I'd be tempted to go with Wallace over Alvarez. I just think Smoak and Wallace are better pure hitters than Alvarez. im a little partial i suppose (as my avatar may suggest), and i have only seen smoak in person about 6-7 times, and have only seen wallace on video once, while i have seen pedro probably 50+ times, but i dont think either are as good of pure hitters as pedro and if in fact wallace is a better hitter, im not sure why anyone would ever question picking him in the top 10
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2008 -> 04:25 PM) I'm trying to think who's been missing from teams the Sox played, and the only guy I can really think of is ARod and Cuddyer. Hafner and Sexson were out, but those guys aren't anything special now. granderson, carmona (but laffey has been better anyways), howie kendrick, aybar,
