chris getz deserves to be in the top 10 for sure...his ops is about on par with brian andersons best ops in AAA and anderson was considered our best prospect at that time.....the kid is having a great year...though his road splits worry me...id like to see him hit away from the charlotte bandbox

a couple things.....i dont think we were ever that close at all to that trade and i think we were going to have to send another piece....i said this offseason i would have done kotchman for konerko straight up let alone with figgins and santana......that said i think that rumor was more rumor than it was fact... also we just resigned buerhle long term....how and why would we cut ties with him at the end of the year? i suppose we could trade him...but as long as we are playing the game of trades that never happened....how about if we traded buerhle for cueto and votto like was rumored?

if the sox would entertain cutting uribe id consider picking up mackowiak....really juan has basically no role on this team...he is a backup at the IF positions, but so is pablo, and mackowiak would be at 3b and 2b as well....also mackowiak would at very least give us a lefty off the bench and can also play the corner OF .... seems to me hes a bit more valuable than uribe, especially since alexei and ozuna can play SS if needed if OC goes down

nice game so far for the 4 worth watching in charlotte..all have reached at least twice .... fields 2-3 with a walk, a HR 3 RBI owens 1-3 with a walk Richar 2-4 with a double and rbi getz 2-3 with an double and rbi getz up to .314...definitely developing well...i assume next year uribe will be gone, cabrera gone and alexei at SS with getz getting a long look at 2b to start the year, and beckham pushing for time by the end of the year
