  1. hey Dick Allen if you are out there reading this...we may disagree on the long run cost/benefit of striking out vs. not striking out....but hey ill gladly put aside my differneces and root hard against a K here in this situation
  2. dontrelle really got helped out by the DP ball...that coulda, and maybe shoulda been alot worse....keep at these guys here jermaine
  3. that may have been the least exciting call ive ever heard by brennaman..he sounded like hawk when an opposing team scores a run
  4. francis beltran? the former HOF closing prospect for the cubs? heh
  5. 6 straight walks in 6 PA for swisher (better balta? lol)
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:19 PM) Floyd's given us a chance to win....you can't ask for more from him. I'll take 5 innings, 3 runs every game. yep if we get this from gavin all year we'll be in good shape..... oh god the way swisher fell to the ground there reminded me of dye in the playoffs back when he was in oakland...that coulda been bad
  7. QUOTE(G&T @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:17 PM) So how has Floyd pitched so far anyway? about as well as i hope he could...which is to say...he has given us a chance to win this game so far
  8. nice play swisher...i thought that was trouble off the bat one thing i like about swisher....he plays pretty shallow...hopefully he will be able to continue to go back like that and allow himself to play shallow
  9. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:11 PM) toby. you've been such an AWESOME addition. hes really let his body get out of hand...he was always bigger, but when he was with TB at least he was somewhat in shape.... if he was serious about getting healthy and getting back to being productive this offseason he needed to lose about 15 -20 pounds and it looks like he put on weight instead
  10. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:08 PM) I don't see a reason for bunting being down 3-0 with Willis as wild as he is right now. i think hes taking the whole way...just drawin the D in a bit
  11. QUOTE(Elgin Slim @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:07 PM) That wasn't a bad pitch though, as a matter of fact it was a good pitch, fastball up and in. Gavin just got beat on it. yeah, but on a 2-0 pitch you gotta know where a hitter looks for the ball...and just before he hit that fox showed a graphic that showed inge hits .444 on the pitch up and in
  12. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) gavin. that'll teach you to allow two out walks. i thought he got really pinched in that AB against jones...especially on the last pitch, god it seems like im commenting on the umps all the time
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) Why do we keep throwing him fastballs? especially in....hes a sub .200 hitter on the out third according to fox's stats
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) 3-0 Tigers. Inge with a bomb. 2-0...sat on the fastball in and got it....fox just showed that was inge's wheelhouse
  15. QUOTE(lostfan @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:01 PM) What did he do? I can't see. renteria was running on the pitch...pudge lined out to quentin...and quentin gunned renteria out at 1b from LF
  16. good thing renteria dogged it...he may have been safe anyways
  17. wow nice throw quentin....7-3 double play hahah dont see that alot
  18. nice job jermaine....hes been bad in the field, but that was a nice play to hold renteria to a single
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 04:56 PM) Yuck....good at bat though by Quentin. I always wondered why the runner on 2nd doesn't let the ball hit him on such a routine double play ball. great point, that basically assures only 1 out
  20. gavin has to keep it close, we will get to willis or that bullpen sooner or later
  21. even though he didnt square it up...i love to see that rip on the 2-0 fastball from carlos damnit thought that was fair
  22. dontrelle nearing 60 pitches...no double plays here carlos
