I've been bowling in leagues now for 4 years, this will be my 5th year of it. My highest series is a 652 and high game is a 257. After my first year of bowling, I broke my bowling arm (right). Had to rehab and all that good stuff. So my game wasn't able to improve as I had hoped right away. I'm now up to a 180 average. When I broke my arm, I bowled left handed for fun. My high game lefty is a 189. I was damn proud of that score!

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 02:01 AM) Not to go off-topic, but KG, I noticed you live in St. Joe, Michigan. My grandma lives at our cottage in White Pigeon, on the St. Joe river. Nice, its a different county than I am in. Over east a little more. SW Michigan is nice, not too far of a drive from Chicago so I can still make it to plenty of games throughout the season.

Just curious if anyone on here is into bowling? I'm on a league here in SW Michigan, and thought I'd start a bowling thread to share high games, or series or tournament results. My season starts next Tuesday and I can't wait. I'm pretty much addicted to two things: bowling and the White Sox.

Sox/Danks have talked numbers but "nothing too serious"

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 04:52 AM) Since when the hell is 26 years of age old? Everyone here knows my feelings on Danks. I want this guy signed here for a few years. He still has alot of untapped potential. I'm by far the highest on him than anyone on our staff. Alright, I didn't mean that 26 wasn't young. I guess I mean "new blood" or rookies even. Like I've said, I'm just tired of seeing the same brand of baseball - underacheiving. The last 4 days it has been more fun to watch, they play like they actually want to prove something . . . But otherwise, its just going through the motions to collect their money and go home. At least with rookies 9 times out of 10 they are hustling after everything - Until lately, I haven't seen much hustle on this team. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) Gavin really does have gonads. Unfortunately, there's our offense. Its alright, Dunn is going yard this inning . . . Hopefully? -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:24 PM) Brown is staying with the Phils. Right, but I would've loved to see Quentin go to Phillie and Brown go to Chicago . . . Instead, Brown is on the bench now. -
Can I get my name changed to KG#1, if possible?

Jackson & Teahen to TOR for Frasor & Stewart (RHP)

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 06:05 PM) From some Blue Jays blog: http://www.bluejayhunter.com/2011/07/what-...-get-colby.html To be honest, I'm pumped about this trade. Get rid of the garbage/some big contracts . . . Get someone young and unproven in return. I'm definitely a bigtime prospect lover . . . I just love the unknown and (hopefully) giving them an opportunity to prove themselves with the major league squad. And of course Frasor is a proven guy that they either hang onto or deal to a contender for more young guys. -

QUOTE (kapzk @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:16 PM) now that Pence has been traded to Phillie that leaves Quentin to Atlanta? No more Domonic Brown I would've loved to see Brown in a White Sox uniform. But I'd definitely love to see Beachy in one too . . . *fingers crossed something still goes down with the Braves* -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:04 PM) So you wanted Javy Vazquez back for 09 and his $11 million salary? I'm happy with the stealth elf. Same here, man. Its like Rios, you take what you can as long as you get rid of the crap contract/player. Hell, Flowers might do something even if at minimum he is a back-up catcher. I'd take him over Vazquez. And of course, Lilli is a beast.

Okay, getting pretty big into working out. Trying to build my 6'0" / 155 lbs frame into some muscle and such . . . I take some stuff to "amp me up" (no, not steriods) before I go, then I work out and then I go home and take some protein. I'm wondering if anyone on here takes any type of protein or anything to really help build them up . . . And if so, which kind do you take?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:09 PM) Hawk is the most consistent thing I know. The Sox offense is pretty consistent . . . ly bad. They know how to not score runs . . . with the worst of them? -

The Braves are still struggling to score runs, gotta think they are callin KW . . . Especially with McLouth on the DL now. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:04 PM) When is Viciedo expected back? Hopefully Sunday, when Quentin is in a Braves uniform and DV is called up. Sad thing is, I love Quentin in the line-up, but it definitely is time to change something here. -

I almost said instead of a homer that Dunn would just get a hit . . . Would've been right. I'm really hoping he is breaking out at least slightly . . . As long as he gets a hit once or a night or so, the Sox chances go up a lot more . . . Someone posted on here the other day about the last time Dunn had back-to-back games with hits? When was the last time he had a hit in three straight games? Has he done it with the Sox yet? -

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 08:12 PM) Trade him to the Yankees this weekend while he still has high value. Seriously, lets do this . . . I mean, I've been hoping for a rebuild mode for the last 4 years. I'm tired of watching this losing baseball (or barely winning baseball) . . . Lets get some young blood in here. Sell off Danks, Quentin, Thornton . . . I know Rios, Dunn and Peavy are going nowhere . . . But try to completely retool. I make sure to attend as many games as I can, but watching the same type of team every year is making me not want to go. I'd be more inclined to go if I could watch some up and coming type guys. -

I'm calling it right now. Dunn goes yard. I really feel like he is turning it on and someone on here mentioned earlier, Wakefield's knuckleball is perfect for Dunn's slow bat speed. Let's do it. Time for Dunn to get some confidence . . . -
Rumor: Rios/Thornton to Brewers for Gamel?
kageman129 replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't really care who you have to package Rios with . . . Just get him out of here. Start the rebuild, I'd rather go to the games/watch the games with young players losing rather than seeing veterans not trying/losing. -
Okay, Phillie can take Pence. Lets get Quentin over to Atlanta tonight too . . . Get Beachy and whoever else we can. I will never doubt prospects from the Braves. They definitely know how to scout.

Well . . . No perfect game at least. Just trade Quentin tonight, lets just start the rebuilding. I'd rather "suffer" through rebuilding years than watch these veterans play like crap. -

Man, Pierre pisses me off so much on defense (and on offense for that matter). Alexei was right under it, just let him take it. At least Gavin pitched around it . . . -
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Joel Sherman Joelsherman1 Joel Sherman Heard #Phillies might be willing to redirect D.Brown to 3d team to get prospects #Astros prefer for Pence. Hou likes #Braves prospects more 2 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply Would the Braves and Phillies really go in a three-way trade like that? Isn't that essentially helping out a team you are trying beat? The Sox need to trade Quentin to one of these teams. Can't miss out on stocking up the farm system this season.

Teahen, thanks for going on the disabled list last year so that Vizquel could start at third and the team could made a run for the division without an E5 every other game!

Let's make it two in a row!

I hardly ever post, but thought I could be good luck starting a game thread for the first time. I'll be at this game hoping to help get these guys on track! F*** the Twins!
