QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 2, 2012 -> 04:29 PM) My buddy Kyle just spur-of-the-moment bought a black lab/boxer mix puppy. He is only like 6 weeks old right now. Very tiny little guy. My roommate is dating him, so Kyle often brings little Duke over to hang out. He loves to bite and sleep, that's about it. When he is tired he will cuddle, but he seems kind of like a loner dog. He often hides when he is tired, or lays in tight spaces. He will climb up on the couch and try and wedge himself between the back of the couch and the cushion. It's kind of weird. We looked up pictures of lab/boxer mixes, and this guy looks like he will be very intimidating when he is fully grown. Real badass and scary looking. This is what he looks like now though..... My neighbor has a boxer/lab mix. Its like 7 years old right now and really does look like he will kill you. But man, he is just a big puppy. Not sure how he was raised, but man that dog loves to jump up at me and just is so nice. He plays really well with my golden retriever too. Thats an awesome mix dog though.

So back in March, Y2HH gave me a little routine for working out . . . I need to say thanks man! This is the 8th week of doing a variation on what you posted for me to do. Of course, I'm not some ripped, buff guy but the results are pretty noticeable. I'm really pleased and can feel a difference. I used to work out and just constantly lift weights, trying to build up my arms but giving them the proper amount of time to "rest" and working on my legs one day, my abs the next, my arms the next, etc, its just awesome. I'm really glad I asked about it, cause I can tell I was doing everything wrong. Ha ha. To join in on the discussion about morning vs. afternoon/evening workouts. I go almost every morning before work, so around 6am. Every once in awhile I go with my wife at 8pm instead of the morning. My workout in the evening is like, 100% more intense and feels better than in the morning. As mentioned, I think for me at least, my muscles are just tired in the morning, making it less effective really. I enjoy going in the mornings as a way of waking myself up, but it sucks I can't feel better about the actual workout.

QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) Nate Jones though has been decent so far. lol! Why the hell would this be an "LOL" moment after that sentence? Just makes no sense. I definitely wanted Reed as closer from the get-go, I'm okay with Santiago though.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 09:26 AM) That powerhouse arm has always been more hype than reality. Although this incident will remind everyone of the problems with Miguel Cabrera at the end of 2010. The Tigers' announcers have said numerous times their team looks listless and basically unmotivated. Maybe they started believing their pre-season press clippings and thought with the rest of the AL Central down that there was an unabated path directly to the World Series and they just had to show up and put their uniforms on and the competition would cower in front of them. To be honest, it kind of reminds me of 2008 when the Tigers traded for Cabrera. Everyone pegged the Tigers as 2008 AL Central Champs, and they finished in 4th I think? I feel like they make a big move and then just think it'll all fall into place, when in reality, you actually have to play the games. I think they'll still be tough, but its not going to be as easy to win the Central as many "experts" think.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 12:49 PM) Like a team that cut its payroll by $25 million last year, fired its manager, traded away an all star, let its most reliable pitcher walk, and traded away their closer, bringing back nothing but minor leaguers, while signing only 1 backup OF on the free agent market hte entire offseason. That sounds like a similar position the Sox are in . . . Oooo I see what you did there.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 04:13 PM) 9-70 in the 2nd spot...who gets a chance next, as Alexei is in a major funk? I think they need to try out Rios leading off and De Aza in the two-spot - I think thats what you had suggested before. Get some guys on base for Dunn, Konerko and A.J. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 04:11 PM) I'm not really sure what value Escobar brings to the big league club. Thats just it, he doesn't bring any. -

Not sure what I like better, the old days when the Sox would play close games that were a score of 10 to 9, or these days with the scores 2 to 1. Before we had awesome hitting and crappy pitching, now awesome pitching and crappy hitting. -

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) Yeah no kidding...its almost to the point where I dont want Gordon or Brent in the lineup on the same day. Its just a black hole when they are. But then again, is Escobar really any better? I'd like Lillibridge to have more time in place of those POS players.
