QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 08:11 AM) rookie = Brian Anderson s***ty defensive veteran in CF (no fault to his own that he was out there) = Rob Mackowiak Makes perfect sense to me Thanks for clarifying. I had forgot about Rob in CF there . . . Sorry.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 12:14 AM) They played 162 games that season, and of those 162 games, they outscored the opponent in 90 of them. That's the 3rd most times they've outscored the opponent in a single season this decade! Get f***ing real, the reason people were excited about the team in 2006 is because it was a damn good team that saw the pitching fall apart and the offense fall asleep in the second half of the year. That team was on pace to score 950 runs with Scott Podsednik and Tadahito Iguchi at the top of the order and a rookie/s***ty defensive veteran in CF (no fault to his own that he was out there). Atleast make sense when you are arguing, please.

Maybe it should just stay Quentin . . . It's worked so far.

Sox May 31 game will be blacked out - for the first hour!

So basically we just missed the White Sox getting no-hit and the game comes back just in time to see them start figuring out the opposing pitcher. Works for me. -
I agree with a lot of this. I hate the episodes where they aren't in an office setting. If its during the work day or something, or they all are hanging out at Poor Richard's, then its alright, but its called The Office, keep it there. Also, Kev is hilarious, but I miss the Kev voice. Hopefully it'll be back soon . . . Can't wait for tonights episode!

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN

My sister is going to the game tonight, which is a good omen. She has went to at least 1 Sox game since 1993 and the has never seen a White Sox loss while in attendance. Soooo hopefully her streak continues and the Sox continue to play ball the way they have been this year! -
Gavin "Pretty Boy" Floyd vs. D-Train, Going for three!

QUOTE(lostfan @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 05:56 PM) Scared of Quentin's arm apparently. I think half the league should be scared of Quentin's arm after that throw! -

Hey guys, does anyone remember what the "facts" were about Swisher that were listed in his 3rd at bat? I can't remember for the life of me. I know one was he naps in the dugout but I can't remember the other two and I know they were funny. Go Sox! Excellent game so far! -
QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 18, 2008 -> 09:45 PM) This is barely even news. Maybe he'll catch on with them and have good success with the help of someone like Fukodome . . . Hopefully not, it wouldn't feel right seeing Shingo in a Cub uniform. By the way, knightni, I love the Leroy Jenkins thing! Awesome sig.

You know, I actually like when a company buys a stadium name. I think it's cool to see what type of companies do it. Like Petco or Minute Maid. I think its pretty funny.

I'm definitely not good at predicting trades, however I hope we can bring back some good prospects for him. I mean, teams know that he can produce, if not as well as '06, they know what he brought in the postseason and with his D. When healthy he is good. I would like to see them trade Crede for at least 2 decent prospects. I like the idea of getting Willits, but I doubt they could get that. Like others have said, maybe some A-ball or AA-ball players with possible upside. We just need to rid ourselves of Crede to make room for Fields. I can't wait to for the season, good or bad, I need to see some White Sox baseball!

You forgot to add that Jerry Owens only needs 35 stolen bases to reach 100.

Nomo back in the bigs? Good luck to him. I have always liked him.

Who would you rather have as a bench player ?
kageman129 replied to WHITESOXRANDY's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'll say Jason Bourgeois . . . Of course he will only be a rookie and might not be as big of an impact as Ozuna is. I like Pablo a lot, some other team can have Loretta. -
The White Sox need to just completely rebuild. They lose out on Hunter, then Cabrera . . . The Twins, although unloading some guys, still better than the Sox, the Tiger DEFINTELY better than the Sox now, the Indians not getting any worse, even the Royals can't do much worse . . . Just let the kids play, I'd rather see kids play than a bunch of aging crappy players. I would like them to sign Rowand, have an outfield of Quentin, Rowand and Dye. Infield of Fields, Cabrera, Richar and Konerko. Trade Uribe and Crede for some bullpen help or back end rotation help and just call it an offseason. Screw signing Rowand even, just let Owens play. Throw in the towel and get ready for a losing season ahead of time. I love the White Sox, but I just don't see them getting any better at this point.

If this is the best trade proposal the Marlins got, what the hell were the other teams offering? I honestly think the Sox could have got Miguel and Dontrelle for better talent than the Tigers gave up. Tell me this didn't happen!

I've always liked Mike Cameron as a player and think he is really good. I didn't even realize he was 35 years old though. I would enjoy watching him play for the Sox, but like people have said before, he's too old . . . He would probably have to be a DH before you know it. And we already have enough of those on the team.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Nov 23, 2007 -> 03:04 PM) very said... I wonder what happened. I just hope he didn't die do to drugs or anything like that. No kidding, I hate when anyone dies, but knowing drugs are the cause sucks. RIP Joe. My prayers are with your family.

I hope the Sox would be able to pick up a guy like Willits. That would be nice. I like the OCab trade, Garland was decent, but no ace. Cabrera gives us a better defensive and offensive shortstop, who is a leader. Lets just hope KW doesn't stop here and picks up someone else that would help us out. Like another Cabrera . . .
-
That was a good article. I'm really excited to see what Bourgeois can bring to the club. Can't ever have too many Pablo Ozuna-type players. Hard-nosed, tough ball players. Can't wait for the 2008 season, no matter how bad the Sox are, I miss watching them!

Thanks guys . . . I'll definitely be searching for those. That helps a lot.

Sooo, I know it was posted before but I can't find it. Someone posted the link to Wikipedia and all of the White Sox/baseball players introduction music . . . I was just wondering if someone still had that, cause I can't find it. Also, does anyone know the song that they play before each game? When they show all the clips of past White Sox. I know it's in Pirates of the Caribbean, but I can't find it to download. Some help with this would be great!

So who has played their last game in a Sox uni?
kageman129 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's crazy, I was at the game yesterday and thinking that to myself during the ninth inning. I was saying to my girlfriend after Pods' at-bat, "Man, I hope this is his last at-bat with the Sox ever!" And then same thing during Uribe's at-bat. Soooo with that said, I think Pods, Uribe, Erstad, Terrero, Garland, and Myers have played their last game in a White Sox uniform. Hopefully more too . . . -
Am I the only one who thinks its crazy that this year, no team will have 100 wins, and no team will have 100 losses? When is the last time this has happened?
