  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 09:24 PM) Lisa Stone, yummy. she looks really weird next to him, like his daughter or something. he looks all old and well..not attractive lol
  2. QUOTE (That funky motion @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 09:16 PM) Why did Edwin Jackson only pitch 4 innings tonight? Is he hurt? no, bcuz he sucked. 8 hits,115 pitches
  3. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 09:12 PM) A sign this game's been going on too long when we've progressed to fat jokes at Stoney's expense. in ur avatar, awesome,he likes jagermeister
  4. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 09:00 PM) Kotsay... Still 0 for Chicago hmm..wise did come through yesterday though..i guess kotsay. i would like it if he could take a pitch though

  8. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) Alexei please come back. like hes that much better
  9. i thought we were just making errors bcuz of the metrodome? yup
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 06:53 PM) look it up guysmiley. find the game and score. he NEVER did jack in any game that mattered. that doesnt matter to you? yup small sample size, just 2 starts in the plaoyoffs. so he doesnt get credit for helping them get to the playoffs? i guess if danks would have lost that game 163 and sucked in the playoffs, it would mean he sucks too edit:when u win the cy young, ur good. its not just luck or anything
  11. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) Gotta give KW some praise for this move. The most impressive thing to me about this deal, outside of the players we had to give up to get an ace, is the fact that this was so hush-hush. "Under the radar" indeed. As Black Jack mentioned in his blog entry, I too am somewhat concerned about that elbow pain Peavy had at the beginning of this season but it apparently healed and he was throwing the ball pretty well before being shutdown. Next year is going to be a lot of fun. weird how he didnt understaand the trade. makes so much sense to me.they made this deal thinking about the future. and maybe if peavy would have gotten healthy and pitched good for the pads, it would take more to get him next year as more teams would be interested. basically, i dont feel like we gave up too much for a proven ace.
  12. (im ecstatic we got jake but..)yay, we have to hear hawk talk about how great peavy is and that kw is the greatest gm and reinsdorf is an awesome owner, all throughout the game lol
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 08:05 PM) Watching this replay with Contreras on the mound, the one thing he did differently when he came back from AAA than what he is doing now and in this 2007 game was work quickly. uribe hit a walk off...how was that a "classic"? was that game important or something?
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 09:49 PM) The fact that Pods proves repeatedly that he's a terrible defender, Getz broke the wrong way for no reason on an easy DP ball, and Kotsay hit a ball directly at Cuddyer are not due to the f***ing Metrodome. Shut the f*** up, you pathetic announcer. You're only making an excuse and further perpetuating the belief of the entire organization that it is impossible to win in Minnesota. f*** you, f*** you, f*** you. God, I hate Hawk Harrelson. I almost made this a thread, but figured that would only go badly. i thought the same thing when i turned off the game. he hits it right to cuddyer and hawk b****es about the stadium, what did the stadium have to do with that play!
  15. is beckham the only 3b on this team? since they left him there
  16. hmm...alexei is hurt, if hes gone for a while, beckham at ss..
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 09:03 PM) He should have been playin 2b for the giants... but now I say put him in CF he has all the athletic tools to be a good defender but out there at least he has another second to react when he seems to take his mid game siesta i wonder if the sox will even consider letting beckham be the ss next year or it has to be alexei? its clear he shouldnt be..
  18. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 08:58 PM) Yep, not a great throw, but Alexei should have had the ball. Again. He's a complete and total liability. End that f***ing experiment now, please. Thanks much. i agree, beckham should be at ss. so...put alexei back at 2b?
  19. the Cardinals are "definitely pushing" for a right-handed setup man mlb rumors lets give em dotel
  20. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 08:01 PM) It's hard to show emotion when you're scoring 2-3-4 runs everygame. There isn't much to get excited about. and besides maybe beckham, we dont have those type of rah rah players, the gomez type. jd, pk, pods, etc are all "professionals" that dont really let it show but are trying their hardest
  21. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 07:55 PM) You honestly think this team is a championship caliber team? We have old guys who are injured, guys who shouldn't even be on a major league roster, players who can't field their positions, a bullpen that's over rated crap, slow guys all around the lineup. Starting pitching IS good (tonight notwithstanding), but the rest of this team is BELOW average stock. i agree completely. 2-1
  22. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 07:49 PM) Unbelievable...walk a .211 hitter and then a .167 hitter nearly takes you yard. Get the pen up, Jose is terrible tonight. ha lol
