  1. He was diving back into first.
  2. This organization never values defense.
  3. Especially after enduring a miserable four year rebuild and this is the depth they come up with.
  4. Nice depth on this roster that Hahn built again.
  5. I certainly hope so. That would be great.
  6. I wish the Sox would acquire a Carl Everett equivalent to play LF right now.
  7. Sox wouldn't have remained in Chicago if it weren't for the early '70s rebirth in interest led by Dick Allen.
  8. I remember at the time hearing that Veek wanted him as DH but Dick wanted to be the starting 1B.
  9. My baseball hero. RIP Dick, thanks for saving the White Sox franchise in 1972. ?
  10. The Reinsdorf Organization has been an embarrassment since he and Einhorn bought the White Sox.
  11. Just about sums up my thoughts on this exactly.
  12. I remember that too. The following season Jimmy had a role on the White Sox post game show and Reinsdorf had him fired from that after Jimmy criticized some of La Russa's in game moves after a frustrating White Sox loss. I loved Jimmy Piersall and despise Jerry Reinsdorf.
  13. I just watched the interview with Benetti on YouTube and I feel better about how he'll do managing the Sox the next couple of seasons. I still wish they hired someone else, but he'll do better than what the Sox have had managing for a long time.
