  1. You want owners who can spend money without limits. This will apply to the majority of them.

I agree with everything said. I just disagree with the motivation. I disagree with your stated end goal as most people realize the lawsuits will go nowhere.

I think it is distracting anyone who is focusing on the lawsuits instead of the next elections. I don't think anyone actually thinks that the lawsuits will amount to anything. If the GOP gets the democrats to continue to focus on the lawsuits it will hurt them in the long-term. I base this on listening to conservative vs. Liberal shows on xm. It may be wrong but the liberal shows focus on the current lawsuits whereas the conservative ones have moved on to the next elections. The fact that they increased their seats in the house really have them thinking its Trump people don't like not conservative ideology.
  4. Agreed. Its a whole different set of circumstances with decreased revenue and the looming CBA.

If you really think its that simple you need to look deeper. These are politicians with many different agendas. Like I said I'm starting to think its all a distraction so the GOP can get further head for the next election cycle.
  6. Relying on deadspin for opinions is a dangerous slope.
  7. Isn't that his job? Unless the client has a specific set of criteria he wants met, it's his job to get the best deal.

you may care but thats not what many of the conservative shows are stating. This is why they are fighting it because of Harris not an allegiance to Trump. Most of them understand he is done. they are focusing more on the gains that were made in the house and how to capitalize on that in the next elections. The liberal shows focus far too much on Trump and not the overall party. I'm starting to think the GOP is doing this to distract the Democratic party from focusing on the next elections.

You are looking at this the wrong way. They aren't afraid of Trump. They are terrified of what Harris will do with any amount of power. Listen to some of the conservative shows occasionally. It's eye opening.
  10. Agreed. Hahn is working with what he has. The money this off-season appears to be going to a closer.
  11. Yes, it's all a negotiating tactic. If the players want it, they will need to give something up, probably expanded playoffs. Whoever leaked it from the union caused a big issue. It gives the owners more leverage.
  12. Exactly, who ever heard of such a think. It's a travesty of biblical proportions.
  13. Yeah. Kind of laughable attempt that seemed to have an outside agenda.
  14. Yes there is. Hahn needs to work within his budget. He needs to use it to fill as many holes as possible. The holes were SP, RF and bullpen. He has filled 2.
  15. You have to wonder if they brought him back because of the way the team fell apart after clinching the division? The comment here about the young guys seems pertinent.
  16. I'm not saying its good or bad. As you know how i feel about AJP from personal experience. I just loved the story. Not everyone needs to get along in a clubhouse. The problems happen when there becomes to factions that start getting into it and disrupts the entire clubhouse. Everyone can deal with the ass in the corner just like people do in an office.
  17. Did you hear Steve Stone and his introduction to Dick Allen? Hilarious but not necessarily a kind first impreesion.
  18. Yes, this should be his role.
  19. No one is really spending money. And the elite players will get good contracts but not what it would have been begore, unless they take shorter deals.
  20. They couldn't let it calm down after the TLR stuff. Need to keep themselves in the news cycle.
  21. Accepting it doesn't matter. It's the reality of the sports world right now. It's happening in all of the major sports with the decrease in revenue.
  22. With the decrease in revenue this past season and into next season, did you really expect big spending? Even the Dodgers cut 30% of their front office staff.
