  1. Not a big deal especially for a guy with his height. Pitchers used to be taught to keep the knee flexed that way like Tom seaver. Nolan Ryan was more like the way crochet throws. Mostly today they like to teach posting up with the leg and crochet does get there after the flex in the knee. I dont imagine too many people will have issues with it since he does finish off with the post and spin in the Mike Marshall philosophy. From an injury stan point there is a lot less stress going through to leg, pelvis and spine with the muscle of the knee absorbing some of the force.
  2. Almost hit the bull with the first pitch
  3. crochet is either high waisting it or is really all legs.
  4. it does suck as you get older
  5. If you are only in your mid-30's and depending on herbals you've got a long way to go. I past mid-30's a couple decades ago.
  6. Depends on the celebration.
  7. I like it. Like Jason they have their own sense of humor
  8. think they are hungover?
  9. Wow, most people were happy to see he's second start. Didn't realize people knew this start was being conceded.
  10. Maybe it's nerves or trying to aim the ball but they wouldn't bring him up if he wasn't healthy.
  11. Absolutely no chance they bring him up if he wasn't healthy
  12. Amazing how many black holes the number one offense in the AL has
  13. Not necessarily a fan of len kasper but he had a great idea for the playoffs next year. To give the division winners an advantage and make winning the division important, make the first round of the playoffs a 4 game series with the division winner only needed to win 2 games but the lower seed needing to win 3.
  14. This is the other option. Trade for a accomplished cost controlled starter.
  15. I go with the young, unproven guys as the seem MLB ready and need to learn at the MLB level. Unless it is truly a one year deal as stated before. Long term FA pitcher deals aren't worth the trouble when they have young controlled starters. It would turn into a Mazara situation, the vet gets the starts because the team acquired him not that he would necessarily be better.
  16. Vaild point. i just think the other way unless it is truly a one year deal for Bauer or a short term deal for someone like Q who can readily move to the pen.
  17. True but I'm discussing why they probably won't sign for someone next year not beyond that.
  18. Just because the payroll is not a good reason. If Bauer truly does a one year deal it may be worth it. Although I still like what the Sox have.
  19. Flores did not impress me much. Lambert will be a very long shot if he needs a second UCL reconstruction.
  20. This is what he said during the post-draft interviews.
  21. This is the whole reason that they probably won't sign an SP next year. They have Giolito, Keuchal, Dunning, Kopech, Cease, Stiever (you forgot him) and Crochet as you just said. Why spend their capital here?
  22. I think he has. Maybe not a TOR but at least a 5th starter. If he is their 5th starter, that's an outstanding staff.
