  1. Still think they should keep him over all the others. however, he is also probably their most valuable commodity.
  2. A+, AA,AAA in one season is not a slow play. That's really aggressive. Even if he starts at AA, that with AAA is still aggresive after only 200 at bats in the minors.
  3. I'd go kopech before Dunning. But I've always been a Dunning fan. Better control and mix of pitches
  4. Maybe but he hasn't even seen AA yet and probably has than than 400 at bats. I dont think they would bring to MLB until the end of next season after the A+, AA, AAA tour that Robert and madrigal got.
  5. What makes everyone say Vaughn is ready? He hasn't played in meaningful games since last year. Are people just assuming that since he is a year older he's ready?
  6. You can't trade all of the future pitching prospects in one trade. It is never a good idea to trade 3 pitching prospects in any deal that doesn't have Trout in return
  7. Do you really think he can keep it going though? He is having a career year in many of his stats. I'm not convinced he can continue it.
  8. Correct. Trading only one piece won't hurt it much. For each top prospect they need to add to the trade it hurts the future competitiveness of the team.
  9. Apparently not, if you can't see why Grandal is starting so much. McCann's playing time will further decrease without the third catcher on the roster. As a matter of fact, Hahn probably sent Collins down so McCann can't be in the lineup more. Now they have a good excuse to not play both at the same time.
  10. Someday he needs to learn how to play not being 100%.
  11. Always for getting the chance to play. If you don't believe that you do not follow sports.
  12. One of them needs to play 4-5 games a week. Guess which one? The bright shiny new toy that Hahn gave the largest FA contract in Sox history to. If you think Renteria has the sole say in this, you aren't paying attention to modern baseball.
  13. Nor can they afford to put more resources toward that position. Someone will pay him starting AS caliber money and he should take it.
  14. The Cubs won one and fell off pretty rapidly afterwards only a couple of years of really being competitive. Trading Dunning will close the window earlier. We've seen him against MLB pitching and he looked good. Kopech will have 2 1/2 off so who knows what he will look like. Crochet is a total unknown. Kelley is a 19 year old kid and is at best 3 years away. I'd trade Kopech for Lynn but I wouldn't go much further with the pitching. So if you're satisfied with a single World series and a rapid drop off, that's fine. I've seen that already after 2005. I'm looking for a 5-7 year window of really good competitive baseball.
  15. Patience grasshopper. This team is getting ready for a run of competitive years. Don't shorten it by sacrificing too much. Lynn for one player would work. Start selling off the future and it just isn't worth it.
  16. JR is more likely to pay Bauer on the one year deals and he's younger and better.
  17. It's being impatient to not allow this team to have a long competitive window by sacrificing talent that will extend that window and remain competitive. This team is borderline now. Keep the good players for when they are truly a good team and are ready to compete year in and year out. Sacrificing the talent for the short term is what happened to the Cubs.
  18. I think Dunning by himself shows more return over the next few years. The Sox do not need to be in the sacrifice the future to win now mode. They've spent 4 years on this rebuild. Don't get impatient now.
  19. I do not do the deal for both Stiever and Dunning.
  20. Yes. Just a cramp or mild strain doesn't take 2 weeks. Could still be just a strain but a more significant one. It doesn't mean it will impact his future but the longer it takes to "resolve" the longer it's going to take to get back into game readiness.
