  1. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 11:05 PM) Bengals' fans and certain defensive players are absolutely classless. It was hard to choose between rooting for these guys or a rapist QB. I ended up choosing neither. Im more of a baseball fan and usually just want to see good games. This was awful. Playoff football is usually pretty good.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 11:00 PM) They reacted same way every fan base would. I don't know I've had bears season tickets for 30 years and have never seen fans throw things at a player going off injured. Edit: I have seen them throw snowballs at santa claus though.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:56 PM) About as dirty of a game as you will ever see. And I still can't believe the announcers defended that Shazier hit. That was the dirtiest play (Burfict one at the end was close) in a game filled with dirty plays. I would disagree with this. Shazier did lower his head during a tackle. Burfect hit a guy in the head when there was no play. The ball was ready by him for an incomplete pass. That was the definition of a helpless reciever.
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:51 PM) Here's the thing. The play I was talking about before was clearly clean and wasn't close to being an illegal hit. That one was a clearly dirty play. It isn't hard to distinguish between the 2. I agree. Im just saying his history, not just this game is the reason people talk about him that way. The hit on Ben wasn't dirty today.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:39 PM) Yep. They must protect and rave about a complete piece of s*** in Ben Roethlisberger and they despise Burfict (who is probably also a piece of s*** off the field but still). Them questioning the legality of his hit on Roethlisberger but defending the clearly illegal hit by Shazier was infuriating. That is why they talk about him that way. Obvious shot to the head.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:39 PM) And THAT's BIG BEN'S MUSIC! He is obviously can't throw, screens and runs only.
  7. Burfect has earned it with previous personal fouls and fines. People look at it differently with repeat offenders.
  8. Well its not good football but its entertaining.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:16 PM) Got it. I was referring to Ben as a piece of s*** person for what its worth. I know, but again never met Ben so I really don't have an opinion on him as a person.
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:11 PM) Well it was to a piece of s*** human being I guess. That was clearly a clean hit. I don't think you're right on the penalty. All I can find is this: Removal of his helmet by a player in the field of play or the end zone during a celebration or demonstration, or during a confrontation with a game official or any other player. I didn't see what Burfict did so if it was part of a celebration its a penalty, if it wasn't than it probably wasn't a penalty. When bernard went down, burfect ran on t he field to go after shazier. He is just a dirty piece of crap player. Im not judging him as a person as I dont know him.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 10:04 PM) Clean hit on Roethlisberger. I'd have to rewatch Burfict play but simply taking off a helmet isn't a penalty in the NFL. It is a penalty ehen the offense is on the field and he is supposed to be on the sidelines. It was aclean hit with a little extra to fall on him. He has already been fined for intentionally going after his legs and knocking him out for a few games. Piece of crap player.
  12. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 09:59 PM) Cincinnati fans threw trash at Big Ben as he was being carted off Cincinnati class.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 9, 2016 -> 09:44 PM) If that's not a personal foul than nothing should be. Unbelievably dirty hit by Shazier. Where was the penalty for Burfect running on to the field with his helmet off? Burfect knocked Bell out for the season, now Rothlisberger.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) They have Saunders, Pillar and Bautista in the OF with Pompey waiting. They have no openings. Yeah, there are reportsb saying they traded revere because he was a luxury with their surplus of OFs. They are not in this market.
  16. QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 03:55 PM) Nah this is fun... All this speculation that has been beaten like a dead rotten horse and then laid out upon some warm stink bait that is attracting some catfish that are eating it... but then they die because it had poison in it...so now the dead catfish are smelling on top of the dead horse...and it all just sits there waiting to be s*** on by twitter. Fun stuff. Dough balls work better but the same principle applies
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 03:38 PM) He is all over the f***in place. Only reporting what is leaked to him. They use him to get the news out for leverage.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) I don't think it will last that long, as the Orioles are going to have to eventually get one of the guys. Only if Davis decides the 7 year deal is the best one. I don't think the orioles are going to raise it much, Boras is not going to get them to bid against themselves this time.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) And they have no reason to sign until Chris Davis does Correct. His deal seems to be the only l8ng term offer out there. This could drag out until ST with the agents playing chicken with the GMs who seem to be holding there ground. The only thing that could change is if one FA decides this is the best they will get and sign ie, Davis.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 03:11 PM) Probably not Yeah, these seem to be hard fought negotiations and the agents aren't getting near what they wanted. They are going to fight for every nickel now.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) The best part about the report, if true, is that they're willing to go 4 years Of course it is. The 3 year was media released negotiations with these two. I have no doubt it was true for gordon. RH has number and he is sticking to it. Agent want 5-6 RH wants 3, they meet in the middle.
  22. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 02:51 PM) Word is the Sox might go to four years on either Cespedes or Upton. The latter is intrigued with the south side. https://mobile.twitter.com/georgeofman/stat...563284490207232 Really! The sox have held to the 3 year deal but as upton becomes interested it might go 4? It's called negotiations.
  23. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 01:59 PM) CarGo makes sense in that he will be the least expensive option is younger than Cespedes, plays RF, and fits in the three year window that the Sox supposedly do not want to surpass. I imagine a package would be built around Anderson and Fulmer to get the deal done with some other pieces thrown in there. The sox will not deal anderson or fulmer and especially not both. If this is the price, there is no deal.
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 01:48 PM) I agree. Sox appear to have a lot of lines in the water. I still think they end up with Cespedes. I didn't know he and Abreu were friends. All things being equal, I think that draws him to the Sox. I just wonder what teams will are interested. Except for the White Sox, they all seem like maybes. Agreed. Working all of the lines to lower the prices.
  25. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 8, 2016 -> 01:29 PM) Ugh, why is the force hereditary, that's stupid. I have to say, i think it's unlikely that any of this is known. Remember that this is now passing writers from abrams to the other dude. There may have been stuff abrams introduced which the next guy may not run with. It's not always through the stories of the books, however the movies seem to like that plot.
