  1. I'm in until mathematically eliminated.
  2. I'm picking AJ for a great game tonight!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
  3. QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) gold glove enoguh said I doubt it.
  4. C'mon, he's been stellar out there all year. It's just 1 bad game. Oh yeah, Freddy needs to go. Give the bullpen some work. 2 triples?
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) Everett is out of his mind to think he is a three hole hitter... he is also out of his mind for other reasons... I thought that was well-established....
  6. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 09:59 AM) Yes, we should all fear the Yankees terrible rotation and juiced up Giambi. mmmmm.........juice.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 05:49 AM) It is when you get lost in Chicago. This is almost southern Iowa I'm living in. Northern Iowa, maybe, but down south here they are a bit strange. Too close to Missourah. Oooh, I'm sorry. I lived (almost) in Iowa for 4 years. It sucks big time.
  8. QUOTE(Allsox @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 08:58 AM) How about Uribe in the 2 hole and Iguchi to the 3 spot?!? Little speed and moxie in those two spots then and Paulie would have some runners to drive home then....I can't stand it when Pods gets on and nobody shoots him in like last night :banghead An interesting idea. Pods, Iguchi, Uribe, Konerko, Dye, AJ, Everett, Rowand, Crede Me likey!!!
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) I would never knowingly speed in a construction zone. I would. Speeding is fun.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Good grief. Yeah, I'm sure the Orioles are so proud of their current roid user Raffy, and their washed-up former roid user in Sosa. It's going to be very interesting when these guys start dropping dead from heart attacks likely caused by years of steroid use. Check out what has happened to so many wrestlers once they reach their 40s after using roids for a long time. Again, who cares? If someone wants to put something into their own body, it's fine by me.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) And he is on roids. 1. Who cares? Anything to get your team a W is good in my book. 2. Good. I wish more players were on them.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) McCarthy won't be starting in the playoffs. To think he would pitch before Buehrle and Garland is not giving those two guys enough respect for getting us this far this season, but also is completely ignoring the type of manager that Ozzie is. I know. I was exaggerating for effect. I guess I'm just nervous and Mark & Jon haven't been pitching well.
  13. QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) Buehrle and Garland carried this team a long way. You've got to stick with them. If Garcia loses game one at home, then we have to come back with Buehrle and Garland as they are pitching now, things would look bleak. I'll take my chances with Mark and Jon, then Freddie in game 3. Right now: game 1 - Contreras game 2 - McCarthy game 3 - Garcia game 4 - Garland game 5 - Buehrle (repeat)
  14. That Simpsons episode last nite was great - you guys have no idea what you're talking about. Last season was as good as any of the "classic" seasons - like the episode where Homer & Bart become Catholic or Homer predicts the rapture. Still genius.
  15. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) Unfortunately, not all of those banned members are (likely) aware of Soxtalk. When I look at this situation it really bugs me I have to criticize a fellow White Sox board. My hatred for their administrators and their odd, often unfair punishments and rules make it difficult to ignore. If anyone believes beer or myself are lying, or overstating PHG's lunacy, by all means check the Roadhouse thread out yourself and make your own judgments. Not even Iwritecode or Steff could spin this radical move. Yeah, we wouldn't want people to post their honest opinions. It might pollute the rest of the posters' minds.
  16. Moving Erstad back to the outfield is a BAD idea.
  17. hey, what happened to the bash WSI thread? Oh, here it is.
  18. Rex Hudler is clueless. He just said that we're thinking of putting Cotts in the rotation next year. Maybe he's still smoking that stuff.....
  19. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 06:19 PM) haven't ya heard of the unwritten rulebook. play to tie at home, win on road. don't bunt to break up a no hitter. never put the lead run on base purposely, etc. p.s. now watch the angels make us pay for the 2 out walk. Why not bunt to break up a no-hitter? Why not put the lead run on if you can get the next guy? The bottom line is W - anything else doesn't matter.
  20. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 06:07 PM) I am having the worst spelling, grammer, and typing day ever today. saye it aint sue!
  21. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) You dont walk a guy with nobody on and two out. I dont care if his name is Baby Ruthe Yes, you do if the guy behind him isn't Babe Ruth. It's called strategy. Or if he's the reigning AL MVP. But about Buehrle, do you guys think Ozzie's afraid to pul him before he finishes 6 innings, even tho the streak is technically over?
