    Hey hey

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) Did anyone catch Suttcliffe when Duque was warming up? He said: "yeah, El Duque is probably just getting some work on the side, because he is NOT a reliever. That was just a few innings before he said Crede wouldn't sacrifice bunt AJ to third.

    Hey hey

QUOTE(bschmaranz @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:18 AM) Believe it or not, I didn't even notice Berman's slanting toward the "Red Sawx". I was so into this game that I completely tuned out the announcers. It was a minor annoyance to me. Like you, I was focused on what I was seeing, not hearing.
  3. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 07:51 AM) Manny and Pods would be one of the worst defensive outfields to ever play the game at any level. Think cub outfield when sosa was moved to center. Did I not say our OF defense would go right in the crapper?
  4. Very well put, Nuke. There was definitely a Red Sox tilt to the broadcast, I don't care what any jaded-biased poster has to say.
  5. The 3rd strike to Damn is one of those moments I'll never forget.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 03:17 AM) Holy crap, don't even joke about that. Who's joking?
  7. Getting ManRam from Boston ... well you can start by saying good bye to ARow. Damon is a FA and they'll want a solid veteran CF'er to replace him. So, the Sox move Pods to CF, put Manny in LF and our OF defense goes right in the crapper.
  8. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 02:03 AM) I still don't want to give up on Marte. I guess I'm a stubborn mofo. He's been so good most of his Sox career. It really hurts to see him struggling like he is. Marte has been gradually getting worse for 2 years. Personally, I think He Gone!
  9. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 02:55 AM) So you are telling me that if we do not win the WS this year, you would not want to upgrade the O in the offseason to go for it again next year? And especially if we lose Paulie to FA, you do realize that 40+ HRs, 100+ RBI people do not grow on trees? You do realize the Bo Sox pitching was the worst pitching the Sox hitters will face this post season. If we get the ANgels, they have a helluva pitching staff ..... their BP looked really strong today with SHields, Donnelly, KRod and now Escobar added to it too How can I put this nicely? f*** Manny Ramirez.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 02:21 AM) I have one that I am stealing from YAS from like way, way back, but rewording it slightly. "Only one team has Sox on their uniform" That one is from way back, for sure. That has been my comeback for years when "discussing" who should be called The Sox.
  11. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 02:40 AM) Garland HAS to start game 1, due to the fact that he got 0 work in the ALDS, so I'd love to see the following rotation: 1) Garland 2) Buehrle 3) Contreras 4) Garcia 5*) Garland 6*) Buehrle 7*) Contreras * if neccessary This sets things up perfectly, as Buehrle is a better home pitcher, Contreras will dominate anywhere the way he's been pitching, and Garcia is a road ace. This also gives our hottest pitcher the ball in the case that Game 7 is needed to decide the series. Actually, that's a pretty damn good set up there.
  12. I believe you'll see BMac replace Marte for the ALCS. Ozzie has gone to every length to get Marte straightened out, but the guy's got jello for a backbone.
  13. Ozzie's got to get Garland into the mix, asap, or he'll be useless from here on out. They should work Garland hard tomorrow so he's not too rested on Tuesday. I just had a thought. With Garland and Contreras starting games 1 and 2, that means Buehrle might finally get his Yankee Stadium start ... in the ALCS, yet.
  14. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 02:10 AM) There are reports that he is looking to change his agent and ask to be traded from the Bo Sox. Independent of what happens this year with our Sox, I want to contend every year and not break this momentum. We obviously have great pitching set for next year too (Buerhle, Count, Garland, Garcia, McCarthy to start and add El Duque to bullpen as set up man), and while our O has been game all playoffs, the Boston pitching is weak and I think we need to upgrade our O in the offseason. How about trading for Manny Ramirez???? The guy would be a monster at the Cell and make us a legit contender again next year. We could play him at DH if Frank does not come back or if Frank does come back, then we play Manny at RF and put Dye either at 1B (and let Paulie go) or trade Dye away Thoughts??? http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/reds...to_hasten_exit/ Ask me again on Halloween, or something.
  15. The Sons of Sam Horn can KISS MY f***ING ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. We did it in their house! f***ing El Duque was da bomb!!!!!!

    Neuticles

All that I can say is ..... NUTS!
  19. QUOTE(the People's Champ @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:40 PM) Dude you are thinking way too hard. That's just a long winded way of saying the Red Sox are over due to lose an elimination game. I like the way he's thinking.
  20. What the hell are Varitek and Damon doing back there?
  21. Congrats to those of you that scored tickets. I hope you all get to see White Sox victories!
  22. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 07:27 PM) no, they will bring in arroyo or meyers, they have a good track record in boston, if wakefield somehow manages the win they will throw schilling against us game 4, then i guarantee clement goes, they have no other option Wakefield would be another viable option for game 5.
