  1. Kentucky, after being down by 16 at halftime, comes back to beat Louisville by two on 3 free throws as Patrick Sparks was fouled with 6/10 second left.
  2. LOL. I think all Sox fans are half crazy right now.
  3. Well, I know what rainbow usually signifies.
  4. I'll tell ya, I don't always put my sarcastic remarks in green. If I want to, I do it. It's not a "rule". It's used if you want to make sure your post is not misinterpretted.
  5. It wouldn't surprise me if Choi came as part of the deal.
  6. Gammons just reported the rumor of Vazquez being moved to the Sox, but said "I'm not so sure about that."
  7. I wish I had an answer for you. I just know that what I said earlier was based on something similar that Ozzie said during the season.
  8. Diaz cannot be successful as starter in the AL with only two pitches. No one can, unless one of them is a 110 mph heater.
  9. I think El Duque would come fairly cheap, and would damn sure make a solid 5th starter. I'd have more faith in him than Contrares.
  10. On the free agent market, he offers the most bang for the buck.
  11. At this point in time, sad to say, our best bets are Grilli or Schoenwicz.
  12. Zisk cost the Sox Gossage and Forster. I think Gamble was a trade acquisition also. Banny was a FA signing, iirc.
  13. It sounds to me like Buehrle is trying to do some damge control. He's saying the right things about Lee. But he's not being quite up front with his comments. I can respect his position, though.
  14. I don't know who is better. Diaz, Grilli, Schoney, BMac? .... These guys have to earn it ST if the 5th slot is still open. Diaz is older. Grilli has gone thru his recovery from surgery. Schoney has recovered as well. Bmac probably isn't ready yet, but give him a shot at it.
  15. I don't remember what he signed for. If it was $1.50, it was TOO f***ING MUCH!
  16. Navarro was a free agent signing.
  17. Hmmmm ... you have a point.
  18. Cotts and Adkins. For most of the year, we'll have a 7 man bullpen.
  19. I think it's worth a shot putting Uribe in the number 2 slot. He's too aggressive right now, and that may force him to be more selective and therefore make him a better hitter. If he doesn't adjust in the short term, then bail on the experiment but I think it's worth a shot. He doesn't have to worry about his contract for a few years, so he might be open to "sacrificing for the team".
  20. Millwood might very well turn out to be a bargain. He needs a season to "prove" himself again.
  21. Counseling is NOT in the budget!
  22. Actually, I was looking at it from a Braves perspective. I don't think the Cubs would bite now that it's been brought to my attention. As for Hampton's contract, it's all on the Bravos now. The free ride is over.
  23. This is a very interesting thread. Lot's of opinions and most very valid. Keep up the good work boys and girls.
  24. True ... but Hampton for Sosa saves the Braves about $10 million. Hamton is owed, I think, $43M over 3 years and Sosa $33M or so over two.
