I'm not blaming Magglio ... I'm not blaming the Sox. I am just saying that I hate this negativity every time a player leaves the team. And yes, Texsox, it effects free agency.

If Javy gets 6 more wins than Garland .... the odds are that the Sox would win 3 of those games, but Garland not get the win. Then you add the fact that in addition to the $$$$ ... we are also giving up Konerko .... worth 3 wins? Probably. Then two years from now, Garland may be a much better pitcher than than Vazquez is, was or ever will be. I just don't think this deal brings that much to the 2005 White Sox, and could drastically hurt the '06 - '07 and '08 White Sox.

My thinking on this .... and I may be totally off base here .... is that more couples would qualify for these benefits as things stood prior to the legalization of marriage, than ever would after the fact. So, in effect, the gays were able to take one step forward, but it cost them two steps back.

We get Jermaine Dye saying he thinks the Sox are a good fit for him and turning down more money from others to play for us, and then this garbage. It seems that every time a player leaves the Sox, this kind of thing happens. Why?
