I used to think that there was no Santa. Then I became a father. Watching my kid's exp[erience so much joy on Christmas morning that they would just shake uncontrollably told me I had it all wrong. Santa is alive and well in the heart, soul and spirit of everyone that loves their children and passes on the magical joy of Christmas to the next generation.

And as far as I'm concerned, we'll leave it at that.

Not to me. Not for Stve Finley. The guy may be 39, but he's still very skilled and effective. He's a leader and winner. Put him in CF, move ARow to RF and you have a kick ass outfield. $8 mill is about half of what we paid Magglio last year. Steve Finley is worth 55% of Magglio's salary.

That decision was about $19,500,000. Who do they think they are trying to kid? -
I think its funny that before the season, everyone was b****ing that the Big 10 got no respect. But now, "a weak Big 10" is a selling point to get a coach to the Illini.

Who are you asking?

I don't believe KW has "stand pat" as an option.

Regarding Pedro, I have two words. Prima Donna.

If the Sox want leadership and to balance the line up, they need to make an all out effort to sign Steve Finley. If he'll listen to Detroit, he'll listen to the Sox.

Speaking of cheap bastards ...... -
The Ranger are considering Carlos Delgado and Jermaine Dye.

I'd rather sign Mazzone to a long term deal that Wright.

End of that rumor.

Oh hell. Just go out on the date. You've said you'd like to see the guy, so what's the problem. Consider the date to be platonic unless somewhere along the line you chose to explore other possibilities. Just because you go on one date doesn't mean you have to give up being single.

Rods are relatively new twist on the UFO phenomena, along with black triangles. There are reported sitings happening all the time, all over the world.

Do we know you? Good to see ya drop in.

Personally, I don't think a friendly fire death on the battlefield is a newsworthy event. It's also one not worthy of a coverup by the military. At least not to the extent that someone in the defense department would be worried about it being a "scandal". Friendly fire deaths have always been a part of war. It happens. Now, on the other hand, if the military wanted to cover this up out of respect to Pat Tillman and his family, then I could understand that motivation without having any qualms about it. When it comes down to it, this a personal tragedy for this family of which the public had no business knowing the details and the media had no business reporting.

Considering it has happened numerous times throughout history, I don't consider it such a longshot. The French miltary does not exactly strike fear in the hearts of generals throughout the world. The world I live in is one that you never know what tomorrow may bring. We may wake up to an invading army coming in from the Gulf coast, Mexico, whatever. The world you live in, where you think things are going to go along without abrupt changes and shocking events, well that should have become a thing of the past on September 11, 2001. But, apparently not.

I have a little BG story for guys. Back in the mid '70's I was driving in that area one night and was accompanied by another person. Now, for the life of me I cannot recall who this person was. It could have been anyone from a date to a buddy, but at that time, I didn't think much about "the stories". To the best of my admittedly limited recollection, things happend like so. We passed "the old farm house" that night. The person with me told me that it was a "ghost house" but I hadn't heard about it at the time. We turned around and went back, but could not locate the house. I soon forgot about the incident and had not thought about it for years, until tonight. Then I read the following: I didn't "see" the house but for a split second, but it is described as I remember it. I had totally forgotten about this, but when I read these paragraphs I "dropped my teeth" as the saying goes. Take it for what it's worth, but this is true as best as I can recall.

These guys using steroids was no more legal than Steve Howe, Keith Hernandez, Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry using cocaine.

To start with, Sheffield was left off the original list. I just today read something, just a mention is all, that throws another Yankee into mix with Giambi and Sheffield. Kevin Brown. These were mentioned in the media so I'm not just speculating here. I do feel like speculation without something to back things up is a dangerous game to play. We are talking about people's lives and careers here.

Ok. I'll give KW 6 weeks leeway in 2003. He should have seen that Wright was unable to pitch effectively through the injury and then done something about it.

That tells me that the DBacks are very confident that they'll be able to trade Randy Johnson.
