    ABCCBSNBC

Do you have a link for this? I'd like to read an uneditted version.

    hell freezes over

I have an ass kicking acoustic version of that song.
  3. More like Colin Powell.
  4. I can offer half of a bed and the run of my house rent free to the right woman.
  5. What you have here is probably the largest case of corruption in the history of the UN. One that is resulting in an increase of casualties suffered by US military personel. Yet, you hear almost nothing from the mainstream media about this. Compare the amount of coverage this getting to the Iraqi prisoner scandal or this guy that just shot that Iraqi combatant in that mosque. Something is totally out of kilter here.
  6. I can't say what I would have done if I had just lost a buddy to an insurgent faking death, injury or waving a white flag. Even an injured one can kill you. "Inspecting" one of these guys could be the last thing you ever do. The sad thing about this incident is that the enemy is using this video to rally and recruit more insurgents. Yet, today they video the execution of a 59 year old English lady who was an Iraqi citizen, vehemently against the war and had been helping the Iraqi people most of her adult life. In general, I believe we do try to follow the rules of war. There are always those that don't give a damn and then there are those that just don't think or make mistakes under the pressure they have to deal with everyday. I don't know what this guys story is, but let our military sort it out and act accordingly. I hope they don't scapegoat him for political purposes.

    Bowling

I thought I was going to bowl a 300 game once ... but I choked in the 2nd frame.
  8. Jiminez was a jerk, yes ... but he was also a stupid baseball player. Guillen is not.
  9. I still have not given up on DW. He was decent in '02 then pitched while hurt in '03 and '04. If he can get healthy, he may have a future. I'd give him a shot in ST of '06 since we've been paying for all his rehab and medical stuff anyway.
  10. You just described Jose Valentin.
  11. A note about Finley. I work with a guy whose very last pitch in high school baseball was jacked by Finley.
  12. If the Cubs signed Polanco, the Trib would talking about a WS appearance because of it. Disregard anything that rag says about the Sox, when it comes to opinions. Polanco is exactly the type of ballplayer this team needs and would be a perfect fit. He's a smart, quality all-around good ballplayer. Not great, but very very solid in all aspects of the game that you'd expect out of a 2B. Not sure about his abilities at short, probably lacking there or he wouldn't have gone the whole season not playing there. That's the only area that concerns me with Polanco. If Uribe gets hurt, who plays SS?
  13. I KNOW for a fact that Finley played his high school ball in Paducah. 365 miles due south of USCF.
  14. Eldred has fully recovered from that. He had a screw put in ... it healed ... had it taken out and pitched all year with the Cardinals last season.
  15. Which is why I didn't understand when DBAH0 said they didn't want Guillen till Lee was traded.
  16. You're right. I can see that happening. :headshake
  17. There is no reason he wouldn't that I can think of unless he has an MVP type of year, which he is still capable of, imho.
  18. Does anyone know the status of Chad Bradford? I was thinking he was a FA this winter but haven't heard his name mentioned. He may a similar delivery to Shingo but is a totally different pitcher. Also, Cal Eldred would not be my first choice, but I wouldn't be at all unhappy if that was one former Sox brought back into the fold.
  19. From the way that reads, Frank can pick up the option. If he doesn't then the Sox have the choice or their option or the buyout.
  20. Basically all that's saying is that if only 1 team wanted him, he'd get around $6.5 mill...but because multiple teams do, his value will go up, and because he's better then both the SS's who have signed already(Vizquel and Guzman), and they both got around $4 mill per year, he will get much more then that. Right? He wasn't all that much better than Vizquel and Guzman this past year. $6.5 to $7 million is about right and I say he ends up signing for about that.
  21. I would think that a Lee, Rowand, Guillen outfield would not be bad at all.
  22. A couple of former Sox linked to the Mets: I find it interesting that Sandy is considering coaching. Apparently, after sniffing around the majors, there wasn't enough interest in him as a player.
