Randy Johnson has never done anything in the past that would lead you to believe he'd ever say or threaten anything along these lines. I'd lean toward Johnson's 15 year history (roughly) of be a professional over the words of some unknown reporter.

Kent Benson will be a very solid starter the second and will help whoever gets him. If he ends up in Minnesota, that makes winning the division that much tougher. If Benson in Twinkieland doesn't scare you, so be it. But it concerns the hell out of me and hope Atlanta swoops in and gets him. They are supposed to be a dark horse/under the radar player in the Benson sweepstakes. If nothing else, Atlanta could drive up the acquisition price.

After seeing the replay (finally!) I have no problem with Hunter. I wish the Sox would play as aggresively.

I'm just curious how many times you plan on posting this opinion. I think we all have the idea, by now, that you want ARow in the 2 slot and Jose batting 7th.

This team is perfectly capable of winning it all. Our lineup is more balanced and less "slugger" oriented than it has been in years. Our bullpen as recently as a few days ago was 3rd best in either ERA or BAA in the AL (I'm not sure which it was). I like our rotation, as any of our starters can give us a chance to win on any given day. Our defense has been adequate. Sure, losing Maggs and Thomas hurts. But I see this as an opportunity for some other players to step up and put their stamp on this team. I can see a guy like Rowand or Everett or Lee .... preferably all three, start leading the charge. The Twins came in here and beat our 2 aces. Give them a ton of credit and regroup. Now is not the time for the team, or the fans for that matter, to roll over and play dead.

I don't know what all the fuss is. I've seen a whole lot worse than what this guy posted. Reading his stuff has yet to bring the word "troll" to my mind.

That'll show you how stupid some Cub fans can be. Shows up at US Cell, mouthing, and has his little girl with him. If one of those frat boys had have had one too many beers, that little girl could have gotten hurt in a scuffle.

I saw Allen hit on off of the back wall of the CF bullpen. It bounced back into the field of play. That was a screamer. The pitcher tried to reach up and catch that ball as it went by him. He's lucky he didn't get a glove on it. He would have landed flat of his back in short CF.

I've always wondered why more hitters haven't taken the simple but effective approach Moose Skowron used to use. He'd start his swing in case it was a fastball and if it was a change, he'd just hitch and restart.

Molitor and Thomas, though both long time DH's, are two different types of hitters. Comparing their respective numbers is a moot point. Molly getting in does set a precedent that should help Thomas when his time comes.

The fans are doing their part now. The team can't continue to play lethargicly with a packed house, though.

Jackson should have drilled Hunter. We can afford to have Jackson suspended for 3 games. In fact, I'd prefer it.

I can't fathom what you guys are upset about that the Twins are getting coverage. 2002 ... 1st place. 2003 .... 1st place. currently ... 1st place. Seems to me that they deserve it. Hell it's better than some NY/Boston bs.
