You're right, that was huge. However, Garland pitched well enough to overcome his own error in that inning. He got the groundout and made the next guy hit a very catchable popup into short right field.
Uribe did exactly what he was supposed to do. Gload never called him off and he kept going, trying to get into position to make the play. That was Gload's ball all the way and Uribe was expecting to get called off. That was Uribe's only mistake.
