I voted for Maontreal also. I really hope they make it and blow through the NL playoffs. Then we can hammer Rocky Biddle on his return to the Cell.

We are getting respect all over the media. Gammons called us "a very scary team" and also selected Loaiza as the most valueable pitcher in baseball.

Congrats to Jim and the rest of the Barons.

I always liked Konerko. But I know he's had a horrible year. The point is that you just keep pounding and pounding on the same subject all the time. Lighten up a little and enjoy the stretch run. It's looking like a good year to be a Sox fan.

The thing that I find most refreshing is that Frank seems to be really committed to leading this team to the promised land. He's not interested in individual honors. He just wants a ring. With that attitude, I believe he is capable of leading the charge.

Now it looks like it will be Bartolo and Mark.

I would highly suspect that would be considered unconstitutional. It can be looked at as being "maimed" by the recipient. Also, considering that the man is Catholic, and the church forbids the practice of contraception, this would be construed as a violation of his religious principles by the state.

Thanks guys. It's good to know that even though I have to follow the team at a distance, and rarely get to actually watch a game, that I still garner at least some respect here. I'm humbly appreciative.

When you reach the playoffs, you don't underestimate any team that makes it ... especially the Damn Yankees.

I don't follow all that power ranking stuff. But if we're 7th that means people r startin to take notice. That's always good... The day we get proper respect from the national media is the same day hell freezes over. IT AIN'T HAPPENING. Even if we win it all the papers will say it was an abberation and that the Yank-mees will win next year for sure. Sadly, I have to agree.

I'm keeping my mouth shut on this issue from here on out. With me sitting here in Kentucky, I feel uninformed and any opinion I have on this matter would eventually reflect that.

I think it's a shame that Sox management chooses to muzzle exuberant fans. I'm not condoning obnoxiousness, or vulgarity. But Sox Park (old and new) has been at times too much like a mausoleum (sp?).

The Pirates attempted to build around a couple of good players (Error-miss Ramirez, Brian Giles and Jason kendall). This has failed and the contracts they gave these guys has turned into a burden that the Pirates cannot afford to keep. By attempting to build around those 3, they painted themselves into a corner. Oh ... you can Kris Benson to that group, also. It seems to me the Pirates are doing the only smart thing they can do. Which, is in all effects, punting on 4th down.

Why are we all speculating on how much money it would take to sign him, when realitically, we have no idea what he would want. The good news is that he likes it here and wants to stay.
