No way dude, it is mine, and I am using it to buy the White Sox! I will be the next person that all Sox fans hate Hell yes! I'd love to hate you!

They were expressing their constitutional given right to freedom of speech. Just like you do here. I guess if they disagree with with you then they are pissing on the Constitution. I never said that they COULDN'T say that. I just found it quite ironic that they were saying it. But...You did say they were pissing on the Constitution.

It's all in the wrist action and keeping your eyes on the ball. Are you playing pinball. or what?

All I can tell you is this. That as a fan, I knew that team would not win the whole enchilada. I dreamed, prayed, hoped... but I still knew. The starting pitching was a patchwork at the end of the year, and they pretty skated in on what they did through the middle part of the season. So, to get into the team, and believe that 2000 was THE year, was not, at least in my mind, realistic. To get the fans in the ballpark, they have to BELIEVE.

I agree. Loiaza hes proven that he is the real deal. A guy doen't "fluke" through 3 months of a major league season. Especially a starting pitcher.
-
But ... Is Robbie Alomar playing at a HOF caliber currently... or even lately? No he is not. We don't know which Robbie Alomar we will see if he comes to the Sox.

If Reinsdorf would put a team on the field that could be competive from opening day forward, the fans would come out. But, they always go through half the season playing like s***, and then pick up the tempo. The fans, though, are always waiting for them to revert back to the boring lethargic team they saw in the first half of the season. They (we) don't believe because they've seen just how bad the team can be. It has happened every year for the past 3 seasons. Even in 2000, we didn't get off to a great start. There were enough flaws in that team, that they kept waiting for the inevitable, and it happened in the playoffs.

The way Valentin goes about playing his game, the way he does things... that would show some of these young guys an example of what it takes to win. I would say that this guy does things right, and we noticed it.

Well Darlin', if I have to keep it clean, I'm clueless. Unless, you just want to give him some time for himself and get out of town for a weekend.

I think naming Valentin captain would be a GREAT move. The dude is a "gamer". I think it would be a great 'motivational' move by the team. Thomas and Maggs would have no problem at all with it, they lead by performing, and Konerko lost his say and candidacy for now. Jose' is the spark plug and has been since he came here, and he'd jump on anyone, including himself if need be. He'd be able to unite any factions in the clubhouse, and make things fun again. Hell, he might even get Colon to step up! All good, no bad, it's a no brainer. I'm 100% with you on this one, Ncorgbl. I've always loved Jose's approach to the game, his spark, his fire, his will to do whatever it takes to win.

Our current payroll is LESS than the one time candidate for contraction Minnesota Twins... 'nuff said.

We really need to do something to try and get Paulie going. The dude can really hit when he is going well.

I disagree - watch: "Joan Cusack looks like her face got stuck on a hot plate" She looks like a circus clown - her face is all distorted-looking and weird. She was never really good-looking, but now she's downright bizarre. The Ruth Buzzi comparison is EXCELLENT, by the way... Saying that is a good way to hit with a purse!

Whoa! I could get in real trouble here... so I'll just keep my mouth shut.

That's why I didn't vote.

Did you see Kariya is a free agent? I have full faith in Bill Wirtz that he will aggressively pursue and woo Kariya Screw Kariya... sign Ruutu.

Sandy is well respected in the organization and is pushing hard for his brother to come here, as he is totally convinced that the Sox are going to make the playoffs and that it may be his and Robby's last good chance at a ring. Many in the clubhouse are concerned over Robby's attitude and 'chemistry' conflicts that he may bring, and upper management is concerned about his reputation and his public perception from the spitting incident and how it would further fuel the national 'black eye' we already have, however misplaced that black eye may be. I am against acquiring Alomar, I am tired of former Indians who never won a Series coming here, and their attitudes, excluding Sandy. I believe Miles should come up and see how he'll do, and keep working with Harris. which is Manuel's and his coaches preference to succeed. Further, I don't think we need much help now at all, just some others to start 'stepping up', along with those who already have been. I sincerely believe that naming Valentin 'Captain' would unify and motivate the rest of the team just by it's own, and the talent would come through. I think this thing is so close to being successful, not much is needed, and too much will ruin it. With a month before the trading deadline, I think Miles deserves at shot. If we lose the chance to get Alomar, so be it. Miles, which costs us nothing, is as good of a gamble as an aging Alomar, which could cost us a future ace.

That's one helluva post on the state of the Blackhawks.
-
Now, where have I heard that before?
-
I agree with leaving Rowand and Harris in there for a while. Still, thinking about the Jiminez at short thing. Maybe Graffanino would be a better alternative.
-
You seem to come up with more stuff from off the wall places. Keep up the good work.

Just to be perfectly clear here... I do not want to trade Cotts for Alomar.
