Ok ... would you be interested in Lowell if Crede were part of the deal? Seems Lowell was mentioned last night. Since Florida announced he was staying, and the Cubs have been wanting Lowell badly, that really would be a shocker!
The only thing that could have made the timing better, is if we weren't heading out of town. That excitement the trades created would have put people in the seats. It's possible we coul;d lose that momentum by the time we get home.
When you are talking about the Sox, you ALWAYS wait till it's signed, sealed and delivered before you talk any s*** whatsoever. Any long time Sox fan knows this like they know their own name.
Thank God it won't be D'Angelo Jiminez. It could be Willie Harris or Aaron Miles or Robbie Alomar .... screw next year. Let's win the World Series this year. We'll worry about next year AFTER the parade.
I voted yes, but really, it depends on what he brings to the table. Potentially, this is a great move by the Sox. Also, potentially this can be a disaster. I'm optimistic, upbeat and hopeful, but we will see.
Last night was great. Lot's of excitment and chants. We were giving Hunter tons of s*** out there in the bleachers. After suffering through April and May freezing my ass off, watching bad baseball, and listening to the incessant yapping of scrub fans rooting for the other team, this was long overdue.
Oh, and more ramp chants too. I looooove ramp chants after a big win.
I wish I could get up there to enjoy it more often.
Roberto is an upgrade over Jiminez at 2B? ..... Alright, who kidnapped the real rafa?
Oh yes. Great upgrade. I still like Jimenez. We didnt have nobody to put in 2B before so Alomar .
I hate to break this to you rafa, but it looks like Jiminez is history with the White Sox. He has played his last game in a Sox uniform.
Where did you read that?
It's all over this board. He's been designated for assignment, which means the Sox have 10 days to trade him or send him to AAA. He can refuse to accept going to AAA and therefore become a free agent. Technically, he's been relaesed but we have a chance to trade him if we can.
Back when he was with Boston, he was labeled a head case. He almost came to blows with Manager (at the time) Jimy Williams. He also squabbled with players, coaches, fans, press, etc.
The thing was, he just wanted to get out of there.

Turn Buehrle's season around..... What if his last few were his first of the year and the the rest of the went from the beginning. Let's say he was in the middle of his 9 game losing streak (or however long it was). Would Buehrle look as good if he was traded to your team?? Or would he look better now because of the way he has pitched in his last 5 starts?? Or would you just look at his season stats??
How would you rate Buehrle based on those circumstances if you were on the receiving end (and not knowing him like we do)???
Just curious
The problem with your proposed dilemma, is that we all knew Buehrle is a quality pitcher, and if I was .... say ....a Cardinals fan, I would have been thrilled to get MB during the middle of his losing streak. Conversely, I know Everett is a helluva hitter, and have faith in the fact that what you saw from him in June is an abberation.
