I'm with you on this. If it brings us a Series title, it was a GREAT trade regardless of who we give up.

We won't get much for Jiminez. The other teams know we have to move him. Basically, we're over a barrel on this one.

The team plays them one day at a time. We are fans, and we can look ahead.

Colon, Buehrle, Loiaza, Garland, Wright ..... there is not a bum in the bunch. And I still expect continued improvement from the last two.

The way i see it, if the sox can get rolling, they have a shot, similar to the Angels of last season. You JUST never know. KW has at least given us a shot........ That's it. We now know we have a shot. That's more than we usually get.

The only comment I want to make is on Valentin. Two weeks ago, I was thinking he was showing signs of being about done. He has since made me pause and reconsider. I hope the dude really proves me wrong. He's one of my favorite Sox players.

Jiminez will be picked up by someone, if we can't trade him. As bad as he is, I can see him play 2B on the north side with Grudzie at 3B. He'd be an improvement over any current 3B the Cubs have.

With Jiminez and Rois gone, as per rumor, this really is a workable, flexible bench. Pretty damn impressive if you stop and think about each position and who can play where.

The very first guy that I noticed that seemed to pick up his hustle and desire was Carlos Lee. He started trying to make something happen, whether on the base paths or with the glove. He took awhile with the bat, but if any one player lit a fire under the Sox, from what I saw it was Carlos. Ive noticed Frank hustling and looking more postive too. You are right. But I saw it out of Carlos a lot sooner than I did big Frank. Playing 1b has sparked Frank.
