  1. Legally Blonde? Give me a fricking break. This list sucks. Slapshot belongs in the top 20 easily. I agree with Major League, especially with just the Uecker scenes.

    Comedians

    Am I the only one who doesn't find Dane Cook too funny? I think he's very energetic and everything and some stuff he does gets me to laugh, but for the most part, I dont think his material is that good. EDIT: George Carlin is the best ever.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 12:06 PM) All he needs to do is have a few kids with a few different women and not pay child support. Haha Let me cue the Dickie V "OHHHH OHHH JJ REDICK OHHHHH"
  4. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 11:18 AM) Probably half the league. I know that stimulants are pretty common in sports to keep the 'edge' - but that's stuff that's available OTC. So, meh. The OTC stuff has been around hockey for years, taking a few sudafeds or the like before a game isn't uncommon.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) If it was in your normal ability, you wouldn't need speed to give something to you... Exactly my point as well.
  6. Haven't had any hockey people yet so... You've got Probert in the early 90's, Stu Grimson of the same era, Bryan Marchment is a BAMF, and then the greats like Howe and Hull.
  7. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:32 PM) You have to admit, though, that all Jews in baseball are pussies. I mean, Sandy Koufax was SO soft, always crying for days off and what-not.
  8. QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 12:36 PM) Honestly I dont care if someone takes Amphetimines, its not a big deal...Steroids are 10 times worse How do you figure? They're both detrimental to one's health in the long run, steroids provide the strength and recovery time to effectively produce better numbers, however amphetamines keep players in the lineup and cut down on the fatigue a player has throughout the year so that they can have good numbers. Both are also illegal.
  9. There are only so many California songs I can deal with.
  10. Kap put it best folks, lack of understanding and non stop action. You know why people can sit and watch baseball and football on TV? Because there are breaks every 25 seconds and that gives those watching on TV a chance to flip to a different game, check scores, etc. With hockey, sometimes you dont get a stop in play for 4 or 5 minutes. The average person doesnt wanna deal with that. IMO. Plus, 4 or 5 minutes of action without understanding of what's going on will really cause a loss of viewers.
  11. Haha, Ronny Santo, THE WORST announcer in the game. Last Friday I put on the radio when the Cubs were blowing the game just to hear him whine. OHHAWHHOUGH WE"RE JUST GIVING IT AWAY. GOD!
  12. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 28, 2006 -> 10:26 PM) Uribe needs a leg kick...in the ass. Two drums and a cymbal fall off of cliff....
  13. Personally I think #10 should at least be top 3. Damn, I've seen that play a bunch of times and I dont know how that couldn't be up there. #1 is a complete joke.
  14. http://www.wgmd.com/SOUNDS/FEATURES/051706-petty.mp3 I saw this on another board and thought this should be posted. What do you guys think of this? They're saying Dani California is nearly the exact same as Mary Jane's Last Dance. I actually agree, the way they break it down it's pretty much a ripoff.
  15. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 15, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) I don't follow hockey much, but were any of these players good: No, however Moreau is in the playoffs with the Oilers I believe.
  16. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ May 14, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) Oh God, it's so hard not slamming you into the ground based on your post and sig. So f***ing hard. Truth be told, their newer stuff doesn't interest me that much, but they still kind of made OK Computer. I heard that was okay. Confirm/deny? Slam away, I never remember calling the Dave Matthews Band music geniuses. Extremely talented yes, music geniuses, not so much.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 14, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) I just spent 8 hours of my day reading that book. Astounding. Impressive.
  18. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ May 14, 2006 -> 10:08 PM) does any one else here enjoy radiohead I'm pumped that I'm going to both chicago shows this June any one else get tickets or try ect... I can deal with them, but I don't see the fascination. It's mind boggling that some people call them music geniuses.
  19. Its a sad day for me, Foley IMO is the best in Chicao. I loved listening to Pat and had the opportunity to meet him a few times, a gem of a guy. Hope he gets renewed for the radio. Here's to you Pat
  20. A friend just sent me a copy of Nightmare of You's self titled album. Pretty solid stuff, anyone else hear listen to them?

    RIP John

    Sorry to hear about that Tex, I just got home from being a pall bearer at one of my friend's funerals. Longtime hockey teammate, former doubles partner in tennis, and accomplice in a few practical jokes. We grew a bit more distant during the school year, but during tennis season we were always around each other. He was 19, and I sat in church today listening to how great of guy he was and throughout the religious spin on things, I thought, is it so wrong to ask why this kind of s*** happens. Parents should never have to bury their children.
  22. They call the kid a victim.
  23. QUOTE(bmags @ May 1, 2006 -> 04:45 PM) yes. I'm a fan. Not a big one, but I like the sound.
  24. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 30, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) and sti3, yeah i'm gonna go too, i'm really excited for Jose Gonzales, lupe fiasco, the cons, the streets, and bloc party. Wanna hear some panthers and others. The sSTills are alright too i guess. Is that the Streets I'm thinking of, that do "fit but you know it" ?
