  1. QUOTE(Nokona @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) Bruce Kieschnick anyone? Its Brooks
  2. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) but I dunno -- he seems like a blue collar guy who didn't make it. Oh well, move on... Pulford and Wirtz have 20 of those guys on the Hawks, he can be the first of the replacements...
  3. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) While I don't exactly remember watching the game, I've heard people say that his 20K game is the best pitched game they've ever seen... Watched it on classic last summer when I had foot surgery, that game was somethin else, even though it was the Cubbies I was even awed by the performance. It was no doubt the best pitched game I've ever seen...
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) Tom, you know how it is. I say the word 'OPS', heads are turning because they've become bored. Whatever. I'm just messin with ya, theres like 3 people we know that are able to carry on a baseball conversation without, CUBS/SOX suck... usually that gets me involved, and you kicked my ass in the eric milton argument
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) I gotta agree except....how is he a good fielder with 24 errors in 142 games? Thats 24 errors....IN LESS THAN A FULL SEASON! That's a helluva lot of errors. Sorry, I meant 10 E's, which is not a helluva lot of errors. My bad
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) I know what you're saying, SF1. To tell you the truth, I don't really even talk to my friends about baseball very often... When you have to explain to them why Frank Thomas is still a great player, it gets tough. I just kind of nod my head when (some) of my friends are talking baseball. Oh I see how it is, I'm not a good enough baseball person anymore??? lol
  7. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) Prospects are nothing until they come up and do well. I know I'm new here but, since when is .281/38/112 not considered doing well. He had All Star numbers as a 24 year old you gotta think hes gonna get better or at least put up those numbers consistently, especially as a switch hitting first baseman, plus he's a pretty good fielder 24 E's in 142 games...
  8. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) I, for one, would be shocked to see Rick ever appear in a major league game as an outfielder. I totally agree, not only do I not see him being more than a below average hitter, I dont see how he could be a good fielder. Does anyone know if he can run or if he has any range at all?
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) So you wouldn't trade an injury-prone pitcher for guy who's going to be a stud 1B/OF? He's already a stud, he just has a chance to be a marquee player and will get even better. I'd do the deal in a heartbeat though, Wood is hurt every year and IMO isnt worth big bucks. I'd possibly deal with borASS though to get Teixeira though, he's a good one and is gonna be a great one.
  10. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) 213 at home? Isn't Miller Park a hitters park? I think the knucklehead's problem is trying too hard to hit homers, a problem likeyl exascerbated by the Cell Exactly what i was thinking
  11. Torri Hunter comes around third, plows AJ. Next AB, El Duque plunks him, starting a Bench Clearer... Hunter gets ejected and not El Duque :finger THIS GAME IS GREAT!!!
  12. No doubt about it, Crawford only walked 35 times last year and I think he struck out close to 85 or 90. If he's disciplined he'll steal more than 70, easy.
  13. As a high school student I couldn't be happier, White Sox baseball on a day off that nobody recognizes- Pulaski Day!!!!
  14. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) well I guess I stand corrected. Crwaford is a superiro player in virtually every way possible but it's not the homer in me that thinks Pods will have more steals. I know what youre saying though, he's truly devoted to getting on base and everything because he's finally out of hell-hole Milwaukee but I just see Crawford get better and better every year and its hard to go against someone who hits for average well compared to someone who hit .244 and had a below average OBP.
  15. Sorry, I should have said his personal SB numbers have risen each year. I know last year Pods had 70, I just worded my thought incorrectly.

  17. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) 79? They shouldn't tease him about making the roster with such a popular number Thats awesome...
  18. I'd definitely rather face a different pitcher than Sabathia, he has a chance to dominate the majors. He is slightly out of shape though...
  19. I'd still take Crawford, he's stolen more bases every year and for some reason I just think he'll take the crown.
  20. This is my first post here guys so I'm lookin forward to a great 05 season.... But my favorite line by Hawk was definitely a year or two back when they showed a baby eating and Hawk said, "I luv Num-Nums.."
