Almost forgot about this one, but before our championship hockey game tonite my team watched the scene from Any Given Sunday You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game - life or football - the margin for error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and you don't quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break of the game, every minute, every second. As much as I dislike the Cubbies, I feel terribly for these pitchers. They were run into the ground the past year or two by a manager who hasnt a clue on how to manage his pen. Two joys to watch pitch are now spending their prime seasons on the DL because of it.
