March 8, 200521 yr Joe Borchard, trying to make the team as a reserve outfielder, homered in the second and sixth innings for the White Sox. After the game, Borchard found a $100 bill awaiting him at his locker, not knowing who it was from. He later learned A. J. Pierzynski had offered $100 to any of his new White Sox teammates that hit a home run off Brett Tomko. Tomko, along with several other San Francisco players, labeled Pierzynski a clubhouse "cancer" last season, after the catcher joined the Giants as a free agent. "I enjoyed my time as a Giant, but I'm not going to lie. I'm happy I'm not back there," said Pierzynski, who did not play Monday. "I met some great people and I still have some friends I talk to over there. But some people over there know what they are. "I've moved on. I wish them the best of luck and hopefully we can play them in the World Series and beat them."
March 8, 200521 yr You can't teach that & you can't groom that. That's original. Way to go AJ! Maybe you could offer $100 for any HR off a Twin pitcher as well?

March 8, 200521 yr QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) He's certainly living up to that Clubhouse cancer reputation. In all likely hood someone some where will twist and turn what he did as being bad. :headshake
March 8, 200521 yr AJ.... YOU ROCK! That's just f***ing awesome. And not mention made me laugh for a few minutes.
March 8, 200521 yr I'm loving Pierzynski more and more every time something comes out on him. In my eyes, he has already erased whatever "cancer" labels he had before entering the Sox clubhouse. Let's hope he is productive on the field and finds a new home on the Southside.
March 8, 200521 yr Let's hope Hunter tries to mow over Pierz sometime this season. When he actually is looking.
March 8, 200521 yr This is the breaking point for me. I supported him once he signed with the Sox, but I was still just a little but weary of him because I hated him with the Twins. But that's just awesome. Way to go A.J.
March 8, 200521 yr What a cool thing to do. I hereby take back most of the mean things I said about AJ when he was with the Twins. Plus I'm sure that upped Joe's confidence.
March 8, 200521 yr Pretty much along with everyone else we acquired the offseason he was a very important part to the new sox. Glad to have him aboard.
March 8, 200521 yr Best acquisition of the offspeed in my book. And if they end up signing him longer this offseason, I'm gonna own his jersey. Him, Konerko and Buehrle are my favs.
March 8, 200521 yr AJ will be the best catcher the Sox have had since Pudge. Case closed. Rock on, AJ

March 8, 200521 yr It's been pretty hard for me to forget how much of an asswhipe he was in Minney. But things like this sure make it easier. He's our asswhipe now and I'm glad we have him. Besides, we needed a good asswhipe.

March 8, 200521 yr See I told you he was the second coming of Jack Parkman..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I actually liked Parkman...That's who he reminds me of...Of course Parkman was a character from a movie...but still, he is an awesome son of a b****... If anyone can find any Parkman pics, It can be useful for a new sig. Edited March 8, 200521 yr by silver and black
March 8, 200521 yr Because AJ was such an asswipe with the Twins is exactly why I wanted KW to sign him.
