QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 21, 2014 -> 08:35 AM) Although if the extra point is abolished, this craziness would never happen again. I forgot about that crazy play. Could you imagine seeing your team score on one of the craziest plays in NFL history to only see the kicker miss the easiest play in the game.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 12:14 PM) Yeah, I was really looking forward to that but it turned into a stinker. The Pats were running 3 wide sets with Collie, Edelman, and Amendola. That is absolutely terrible. I didn't even know Collie still played until Brady threw a pass about 15 yards over his head.

That Patriots vs Broncos game yesterday was really boring.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 11:50 AM) Now I want Gov Christie to sing the national anthem as well as sub zero temps. BECAUSE WHY THE F*** NOT He would be a solid nose tackle. Not really a great pass rusher, but he could eat up blockers inside.

Super Bowl is in New Jersey, not New York. Get it together people.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 09:13 AM) He is quite literally the only player on the entire Seahawks team that I like. There are guys I'm indifferent too - unless Steven Hauschka practices field goals by kicking kittens, he's a big "who cares" guy - but Russell is the only guy I like. Who is the Seahawks long snapper? Probably a big jerk.

The World's End was hilarious. Nice end to the trilogy.
-
Man, do the 49ers and Seahawks know how to tackle. Every tackle they make is just angry. I don't think seen anyone on the Packers tackle like that this past year.
-
Seahawks are really playing into the villain role for this Super Bowl.
-
Didn't the Bears come out and say they aren't running a 3-4? They kept Mel Tucker.
-
It's crazy that he already has 11 games where he didn't throw 22 passes. For comparison, Aaron Rodgers has only 2 games in his career that he didn't attempt 21 passes. One of those was a game they blew out the Browns and he didn't play that much in the second half.

Justified Officially Ending With Season 6 Sucks cause it's a great show, but it's nice to see a show not stick around too long.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 14, 2014 -> 10:56 AM) So 30 TDs is a huge year but Wilson's 26 this year is overrated even though they're a run first offense? When I say 30 plus, I'm talking closer to 40. 37-38 td's and 4000 - 4500 yards passing. Also the Colts ran the ball with running backs 42 times less then the Seahawks this year. 2.6 times per game. So I guess you could say the Colts are a run first team as well.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 14, 2014 -> 09:54 AM) Probably...Manning, Rodgers, Brady and Brees will have past their peak by then. 8 interceptions in 3 playoff games = no good. The 8 INT are not good, but they weren't all his fault. Plus I'm sure he was pressing things a bit knowing his defense was going to be giving up tons of points. Colts defense gave up 43.5 points per game in this playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if Luck has a huge year next year. 30 plus td's.

If I can get anytime off of work this year, I'd like to go back to Yosemite National Park.

I think the Lions will always make the wrong move. That is why they have been to the playoffs once in the past 14 years. Last time the Lions one a playoff game was 1992! That's not good.

I'm glad Whisenhunt didn't end up in Detroit. Could have been a great match.

I'm not saying Wilson is a fluke. I think he is a good QB, who could get better, but people have him going into the hall of fame already. All I'm saying is that he is a good, but not a great QB, who is benefiting from being on a team with a really great defense and a great running game. If he played for Miami right now, we wouldn't even mention his name with Luck. Like we don't with Tannehill. Wilson this year attempted 30 passes or more only four times. Compare that with Manning, Luck, Rodgers and Brees. In his last 5 games Wilson is averaging 157 yards per game. He just isn't asked to do that much. I also don't care what records he holds in college. Number three on that list is Kellen Moore.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 13, 2014 -> 02:37 PM) Those are very important leadership qualities, for perhaps the most important leadership position in professional sports. Do you think it is by accident that Tom Brady and Peyton Manning lead the way they do? Are looked up to the way they are? Have you ever watched Tom Brady? He yells, he freaks out. He isn't mild mannered. He isn't a good QB because he is nice to his teammates and is a well spoken "leader". Tom Brady is a good QB because he is smart, he is extremely accurate throwing the football. He can throw down field, he can hit the short passes. He limits mistakes when he plays. He can read defenses, he knows when they are blitzing, he knows when they are dropping more players into coverage. Same goes for Manning, Rodgers, Brees. All this talk of well spoken and good leader reminds of the Tim Teabow conversation.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 13, 2014 -> 01:43 PM) I think Wilson is going to be head and shoulders better than Kaepernick. I look at Wilson, I see a guy who is well-rounded, cerebral, modest, well-spoken, equally as talented running the ball as throwing it, with a special gift for understanding what play needs to be made at any given moment in a game. I look at Kaep, and I see an athletic freak and a reasonably nice young man, but not much else. As for Luck, HE's the guy I think is overrated. Modest? Well-spoken? He's not running for office.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 13, 2014 -> 11:51 AM) Wilson has helped keep his team in every game he's played in. Not a single loss of double digits in any game in two years. Kapernick and his team have been blown out a handful of times. He's especially looked like a deer in headlights whenever he's played in Seattle. That has more to do with the Seattle defense.
-
I think we will see how good Wilson and Kaep will be in the next few years when their teams don't have as good of defenses. Both those teams are going to start losing players on defense in the next two years and neither team is drafting in the top 10 anymore to get those kind of players. Also both QB's will be getting huge contracts themselves, taking money away from the other side of the ball. Can they be this good when maybe their defenses are just good and not great.
-
QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Jan 13, 2014 -> 10:37 AM) Russell Wilson has been lights out the last 5 weeks, not so much. He will prove to be the most overrated of the new QB's. He can't see over the line which is why most plays are designed around him breaking left or right to throw. Now that D's have learned to contain on the outside, he hasn't been scrambling and completing many passes. Guy has no doubt been fun at times to watch over the past year given his ability to escape the pocket and make big plays, but the tide is turning. I agree. I don't see the excitement around that guy. He can scramble and makes some plays here and there, but he misses a lot of throws. Seattle is good because that defense is great and they have a great running back. Then again when he isn't playing the Packers, Kaepernick also looks average most of the time.

Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh on the same field must be a nightmare for officials. Jim Harbaugh is a brilliant coach, but that dude whines and cries like no other. About time they gave him a penalty yesterday. I can't figure out which NFC team I hate more. Probably have to go with the PED Hawks. I just don't see them losing at home this year.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 8, 2014 -> 04:12 PM) Scot Gregor @scotgregor 8m Frank Thomas says Jeff Nelson was toughest pitcher he ever faced. Nelson had great number against Thomas.
