  1. You guys are really passionate about who is playing QB for Seattle. I say they win about 5 or 6 games this year no matter who is starting.
  2. Erik Bedard was let go. Could be a bullpen arm. Although he has been awful lately.
  3. I will also be at the game tonight. Pretty excited about the "beach bash" theme for tonight.
  4. Cedric Benson looking good for the Packers.
  5. @Kevin_Goldstein The White Sox have released RHP Nevin Griffith, a 2nd-round pick in 2007 who never pitched well at the upper levels.
  6. I loved Yosemite. I can't wait to go back.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 04:52 PM) ESPN spent the day celebrating Tim Tebows birthday. So, yeah, that happened I found out today I share a birthday with Tebow. So yeah I'm looking into getting it changed.
  8. @BradBiggs Brian Urlacher said in interview on Fox-32 he believes his knee will be an issue all season & doubts he will play in preseason. “I don’t see it getting any better during the season. We’re going to have to manage my reps in practice and then just get through Sundays. There is a fine line between pushing it and easing into it, which is what I need to do. I just gotta get back for Sept. 9. Even if I just practice the week before, I’ll be in good enough shape to make it through those games.”

  10. Tim Tebow is right there with someone like Steve Young.
  11. I was hoping it would be sooner then 30 years. I wonder if will be a bigger deal than when we landed on the moon. I bet the Soviet Union is already there.
  12. How far off are we from putting Humans on Mars?
  13. @JeffPassan While Mike Rizzo wouldn't pin down a number, he said Stephen Strasburg will not exceed 180 innings. How does the best team in baseball shut down it's best player?

  15. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 10:23 AM) I'm a travel agent, just so ya know. There are plenty of safe places to vacation in Mexico, and Cozumel and Cancun can be an incredibly great value at times. You can also find some great values in Jamaica and Dominican Republic for all inclusives. The best time of year for a great bargain is coming up. Post labor day and pre Thanksgiving affords some amazing deals, but you do have some risk of tropical storms/hurricanes. The good news is, if there's no Tropical Storm, the weather is usually some of the best many Caribbean islands have all year. There's even one all-inclusive in the US, Club Med has one in Florida, near Port St Lucie. Vegas can be great fun, but if you're going to go for the first time - do it right. Don't cheap out and stay at a generic off strip hotel, especially now because there are deals EVERYWHERE for Vegas. There's a big difference in your experience if you stay some place like the Cosmopolitan as opposed to say Circus Circus or the Hilton Garden Inn. Vegas can be very cheap to get to, but expensive to stay in. Personally, I'm ambivalent to the area. My favorite cheap destination was Nicaragua. $5/night hotels a block from a gorgeous beach, riding chicken buses across the country for $1.25, drinking Tona beer and chilling out for a week was great. I wasn't even paying attention to what I was spending, had a great time, and never spent more than $70 in a day. I'm going to Nicaragua in November. Did you go to the Corn Islands at all?
  16. After the replacement refs were calling touchbacks on the 5 yard line, the NFL needs to give Ed Hochuli whatever he wants.
  17. NFL needs to get the ref's back. These replacement refs are awful.
  18. Dislocated elbow. He might miss some preseason games.
  19. I dislike Oakland as well. I think it's because of the late night games when we play there.
  20. I bet Usian Bolt could average more than 4.0 per carry.
  21. Bears have 4 starting players on D that are over 30. The rest of the D is pretty young. The problem is that the 4 best players on defense are the older ones.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 09:52 AM) It's a cool idea with a few issues. Basically it's a hardcore military simulator (Arma II) set in a zombie apocalypse ($30 total on Steam). There are no missions or quests or even goals in the game other than to survive. You're thrown into a huge map with some towns and lots of wilderness and you just explore. You start off with very little (i.e., no weapons or food and just a few medical supplies) so you need to scavenge to stay alive. Obviously, you also need to evade zombies, which are everywhere. The kicker is that once you die, you die. You don't respawn, you start over with nothing. Also, you play on public servers with other people...and those other people can either help you or just shoot you in the face and steal your stuff. I've played several hours at this point, just to feel it out. No other game gives you the same sense of fear/apprehension. Not only because of the zombies and some of the music, but also because the stakes are so high. At the same time I think there will be a LOT of people turned off by the idea that you could play for so long and then be killed be a human player and all your work goes to waste. I'm hoping to get a few of my friends to join so we can play in a small group and explore together. That's where this game could be a huge success - a Left 4 Dead meets Borderlands meets an MMO. I've seen a lot of people write that when they play the game, they are more afraid of the other people playing the game than the zombies. I think would be a good reflection of what would really happen. This game has over a million people playing it, so you will probably see a bunch of other games coming out like this. Which could good or bad depending how well those games are done. I don't play games on PC, but i've been thinking about trying this one out. 23. I usually get pretty excited for the first preseason game, but by the second i'm done. I can only watch 5th string players play so much.
  24. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 09:08 AM) Anyone playing Day-Z? It's rough being in the alpha stage, but an interesting idea They are making a stand alone game for this. I've never played it, but I really like the idea.
