QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 09:10 AM) Rolling back Cuba stuff feels pointless Two best things Obama did in regards to foreign policy was to start to build back a relationship with Cuba and work with Iran. Trump will ruin both those things in the first six months of his term. Although, any Republican would have.

"Sir, we have cut you off of chemo treatment as you have reached your insurance lifetime limit. Good news though, there are some boats that need cleaning. That should help you pay the 300,000 health insurance bills!"

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 08:30 AM) World leaders now openly mocking Trump. Turnbull in Australia on video mimicking and mocking him. https://twitter.com/9NewsAUS/status/875264486554222592 Trump is going to bomb Australia now. Kidding. I think.

Do members of congress get secret service protection? -
The Democratic party should not be criticized. They are doing really good right now.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 09:29 AM) Terrorism is very bad, and that's why we're partnering with our friends the Saudis to e: seriously though, praising ISIS because they killed innocent Iranians instead of innocent Kurds or Syrians or Iraqis is absolutely disgusting and if the GOP had any sort of morality left, they'd drum him out of the party today. A sitting congressman called for supporting ISIS and it's not even making the news. Your link on here was the first I heard about it. I would assume he's not the only conservative getting excited about dead Iranians.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 09:21 AM) I can't imagine how endorsing and funding Sunni terrorism would ever come back to bite the US in the ass.

Anti-Sharia rallies around the U.S. denounce Islam while stoking concerns among Muslim groups We were very close to living under Sharia law, but these brave souls stopped it over the weekend with their protests.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 10:31 AM) Republican rep praises, suggests supporting ISIS because they murdered Iranians. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thinkprogress..../p/a7e9382dbe1b That is quite the take there by Dana Rohrabacher.

Corbyn Won Because Hope Turned the Unthinkable Into Reality I think I know a political party that could take a few lessons from that.

Just a complete lack of empathy. Although that shouldn't be too surprising from this administration. -
QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 6, 2017 -> 05:52 PM) Free college, healthcare, benefits for all Sbux employees. At the forefront of every social justice issue AND created one of the great American business success stories at the same time. He's, frankly, perfect. A good CEO is far more qualified to be President than a freshman senator "He's, frankly, perfect." Neoliberalism is something else.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 6, 2017 -> 01:59 PM) Who out there is the progressive base actually excited about right now? Jerry Brown? Liz Warren? https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/loca...a004_story.html Virginia GOV race upended by Sanders and Warren wing Jeremy Corbyn, but he is in a different country. Sigh.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 6, 2017 -> 09:00 AM) the largest US military base in the ME is located in Qatar; also, SA funds a whole lot of extremism, but I'm guessing Trump just 100% buys whatever SA told him edit: it's also pretty bad and unfortunately very typical that Trump is now eagerly sucking up to the fundamentalist dictators in SA because they praised him, but he's actively rejecting and seriously undermining our long-time allies in democratic states in Europe. Something tells me this has a lot to do with Qatar having a normal relationship with Iran.

Being a slightly better CEO than the CEO of Wal-Mart is not really something to get excited about. I'm not voting for a anti-union billionaire CEO.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 5, 2017 -> 09:26 PM) Cuban and Schultz say hi. This would be a nightmare. So it's probably going to happen.

If one of the only sources about it is Katie Hopkins. A person who recently called for a "final solution" for Muslims. Maybe it's time to let that hot news story go.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jun 4, 2017 -> 01:08 PM) At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed! Not sure what context you are looking for. He was asked about Londoners who were afraid to go out, and he said police presence would be amped up for a few days and there was no reason to be alarmed. Funny how the muslim mayor refused to mention the motivations of the attackers at all. They only screamed the usual before knifing people, so we may never know. But all of this petty sniping aside, what are they going to do about it now? Will this turn out to be a case where they knew of the attacker beforehand and yet did nothing? Was he known or unknown to security services? I figure at least a week until we get something as the story will change every day for a while. I'm pretty sure the mayor of London has a better grasp on his city then a brain dead President across the ocean who spent the weekend playing golf. Not sure what the mayor of London being Muslim has to do with it.
