This shouldn't be the end of this healthcare debate. The Democratic party should continue to work on things like expanding medicaid. The ultimate goal should still be single payer.
-
Yeah, it's funny how after Trump got elected, Alex Jones turned into somewhat of a boring partisan pundit.
-
Not surprising coming from King, who is human garbage. Also not surprising that no one in his party is asking that he step down or be thrown out of the party.

Didn't the Bears take 2 safeties in the last draft? Why are they signing a 32 year old player?
-
@diannaESPN The New England Patriots are considering trading Malcolm Butler to the New Orleans Saints for Brandin Cooks per sources Patriots are good at this.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2017 -> 09:08 AM) They have a much more talented roster than the Bears do right now, I know that much. Jacksonville has a few better players. Just about all of their good players were draft picks. Their free agent signings have been a disaster.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2017 -> 08:49 AM) Especially when you are coming off a 3-13 season and don't have a QB. You have to pay to play. Even Jacksonville gets that! How's that going for Jacksonville?

@RapSheet 6m6 minutes ago The #Patriots deal for free agent CB Stephon Gilmore will happen, source said. Huge signing. @RapSheet 36m36 minutes ago The #Packers are bringing back pass-rusher Nick Perry, source said. Locking up a key priority.

@mortreport When Pierre Garcon finalizes deal with 49ers, as expected, league sources believe he will make $16 million in first year. Lmao. Bad teams wonder why they are bad.
-
If some team like the Bears signed Glennon as stop gap starter for a year or two. Around 6-7 million a year. It would be a good deal. Some team signing him for 15-16 million a year on a long term deal should fire their GM.

How is there any way the Browns pass up Garrett? Could they possibly mess this up.
-
It would be funny as hell if Sessions went to prison for this. What an absolute s*** show this has been so far.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 1, 2017 -> 10:09 AM) That's total posturing. He's not worth a 1st. They aren't getting a 1st. They have no real leverage either. They can keep him next year but then he'll walk in free agency after the season. Patriots will receive a 2019 comp pick in that scenario. I'd call their bluff. It's not about what he's worth, it's about what a team is willing to give up. It only takes one team. Especially when that one team could be the Browns. Who have 4 picks in the first two rounds.
-
Yeah, I doubt that. I have a hard time believing that if the Browns offered the 12th overall pick the Patriots would say no. Now, if they are only getting offers for a mid second round pick. I could see them holding on to him.

Like how Trump continues to call the Yemen raid a "great success". A raid that killed 30 civilians, including women and children. People living in one of the poorest countries in the world. Morally bankrupt.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 10:36 AM) You could always tag and trade him. You could get at least a future 2nd round pick (I would think) and your cap situation could afford the worse case scenario which is he stays another year under franchise tag (we have so much cap space it wouldn't be a problem). It also gives you another year to see on White as well as see what Meredith could become. This is just terrible. Awful management of assets. Note: Are the Bears are banking on the"compensatory pick" that they will get for him. If you sign a bunch of free agents and lose a big name free agent, do you actually get a pick? Tag and trade isn't that easy. A team has to give up a draft pick and then try and work out a deal with a player who was looking to get top money in free agency. You probably aren't getting a 2nd or 3rd for that. They probably get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick for him. So it's not like they are totally losing out. They probably should have tried to lock him up a couple years ago. Who knows, maybe they did and he said no thanks.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 09:41 AM) And the McCaskeys will pocket an additional $15 million for fielding a s***ty team. I think they would actually be smart to let him walk. He's a good player, but not great and he's had a history of injuries. Throw in the suspension and it should be easy choice to let him walk.

Jeffery is gonna get like 15 million a year and then catch like 60 passes next year.

@mattdpearce NRA's Wayne LaPierre tells CPAC that the left's protesters are paid $1,500 a week and are dangerous Yeah, right. I make double that protesting for Soros. Also, I get dental.

It just seemed like such a smart choice to go with Ellison and they are going to mess it up. That being said, Perez is a million times better than Wasserman Schultz and Brazile.
-
Key Question About DNC Race: Why Did White House Recruit Perez to Run Against Ellison? Watch the Democratic Party trip and fall over itself.

There was a guy at the rally that went on CNN and said he has a life sized cardboard cut out of Donald Trump and he salutes it everyday and prays to it or something. It was funny and also terrifying at the same time.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 22, 2017 -> 08:57 AM) "It's the Power That Does Something to Me" Dispatches from the Saturday night Trump rally. What do you do when a good portion of the country has completely and willfully deluded themselves? Yikes. That last quote is really scary. Also, Jeb Lund is awesome.

How likely is a general/military leader to be next President?
GoSox05 replied to caulfield12's topic in The Filibuster
I could see them doing that. It would be stupid and they will lose again. Same thing goes with trying to run someone like Mark Cuban. -
Imagine thinking that a majority of Americans are "authoritarian leftists". Every time I leave the house someone has to bring how great Stalin was.
