  1. Are you mother f***ing kidding me Gooch? On 2-0?!?
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 07:54 PM) We need to just make contact tonight. This team is to defense what we are to bullpens, they'll kick it around like Hermida did all night if we put it in play. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  3. Josh Fields is a bust, he sucks, boo. Where did all of those people go? HAHA my people in Miami weren't kidding when they said this team is the worst defensive team they have ever seen.
  4. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 08:41 PM) What happened? Dye has made 2 catches in 4 innings as if he thinks he's 23 and on Atlanta again.
  5. As I said earlier in the thread, this team is to defense what we are to bullpens, just put it in play and good things will happen. Now settle down Jose. Last inning wasn't really your fault. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 08:32 PM) You just know the game is going to be delayed now. Rain will start pouring down any minute, and if it isn't already postponed, Masset will come in and give up the lead. Scoring four runs by the 3rd innings? I must be playing MLB Slugfest. The conditions should be adequate for play to finish 9, and for sure will be long enough to play 5 innings. Count is fortunate to still have a full set of teeth after that miserable forkball. That was the textbook sidearm slider from Count. If anybody wants an example of what I mean by ignore the Comcast Gun, Count just gassed one past Hermida upstairs at 77 MPH. WHAT A PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DYE AGAIN!!!!!!
  6. Johnson obviously has great stuff but seems to have no idea where it is going, that layoff is obviously a factor. Nice job JD. And I don't blame Razor for that send btw, although he's been meh this year.
  7. I know it's not what he's paid to do, but Thome did the only thing he could on that slide that would result in an out.
  8. Well we start with a bloop single just like they did last half inning. Hopefully we take advantage of it too. Gonzalez looking for #2 on the night for GIDPaulie Come on A.J. do it again.
  9. Nice pick, and Ramirez swung at ball 4 twice there, which when you consider who was on deck, is a huge favor to us.
  10. A.J. can feel free to throw out a runner anytime now.....Amezaga is toast if the throw is on the bag.
  11. Iguchi's range has cost us at least 1 run. Not a single hard hit ball all inning and it's 2 runs, this is the kind of half inning where the age and lack of athletic ability shows up the most.
  12. So a blooper and jersey grazer.....just our luck. Come on double play or K. Iguchi with the beer league range. Should be 2-1 with a man on 2nd and 2 outs.
  13. Good pitch, just a perfectly placed blooper. DO NOT THROW IT UP AND IN TO BOONE.
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 08:02 PM) Are they even going to get this game in? Isn't it supposed to pour tonight? The rain is going to be on and off and scattered. I'm assuming they figure they can play through pockets of rain that will turn dry pretty quickly.
  15. That was an inexperienced at bat by Fields right there. He'll learn.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 07:57 PM) At least this game isn't totally disgusting to watch. I know. It's one thing to suck, but there is a difference between watchable sucking and epic sucking. Even yesterday, at least it was interesting to watch.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) Yup, the guy with the 3.10 ERA last season in 24 starts. If ignorance is bliss, this is about as happy a site as you'll find. And great, here comes the rain. That was so Taylor Made that even Iguchi could turn it. Nicely done Count.
  18. We need to just make contact tonight. This team is to defense what we are to bullpens, they'll kick it around like Hermida did all night if we put it in play.
  19. That one died a bit in the thick air, it carries out on most nights. Ah well, beggars can't be choosers with the 2 runs, but I can't get over that Paulie AB, he should be taken out of the game tonight and benched tomorrow for that.
  20. That was the worst at bat I've ever seen by Konerko, and i'm not exaggerating. He can't throw a strike and you GIDP on the first pitch. A.J. salvages the inning a bit with that hit though.
  21. Some of you guys have seen him more than me (I've only seen him in person twice and on tape), but watching Eric Gordon reminds me A LOT of Dwyane Wade's game. Except Gordon is way further along in his development at age 17 or 18 than Wade was, but they play a similar game. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 16, 2007 -> 08:49 PM) Russ Ellington, WR from Homewood, IL, becomes Chizik's first commit at ISU for 08. Very nice first get, he's a good player.
  22. QUOTE(GreenSox @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 06:18 PM) Any decent power hitter in the middle of the lineup will have a decent walk rate. They get pitched around a lot. He's had some awfully good lineup protection in his career, and sees a ton of pitches, so he's not just getting pitched around. The Reds are never any good, but that's because they have nobody that can pitch other than Aaron Harang and David Weathers.
  23. Aaron Cunningham is in the mode of just about every outfield prospect we've had lately not named Chris Young in that his ceiling is a bit low for a prospect (the name Mark Kotsay always seems to come up in comparisons). At least Richar seems to have a bit of a ceiling, is a bit further in his development while still young, and fits a need if he turns out any good.
  24. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 01:18 PM) OBP last 3 years: .388 .387 .365 Markedly better than anyone we have. He's good for around 40 home runs and .900 OPS or so every year, and is a younger guy who can play LF at a Pods level (I know that's bad, but not as bad as people think). For people to poo poo this guy when we are desperate for youth, offense, and OF help is mind boggling to me.
  25. QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 03:49 PM) ...a low average He is hitting .275 this year, but don't let facts get in the way of a good rant. .364 on base, .574 slugging, .938 OPS, pretty young. But hey, he'd have to be paid a salary of Paul Konerko and, unlike Pods who we deal with when healthy, is a poor fielder. Who needs him, we have plenty of offense and outfielders on this team.
