Bulls win a huuuuuuuuuge win today. 33-19 in the 4th to come back and win 101-97 at Boston. Philly lost too, so only 1.5 outta the 8th spot with 12 games to go. Not bad. I don't care if Detroit will kill us, I want to see the Bulls in the playoffs. Not like finishing 9th will make much a difference for the pick anyways. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Bitter. Ahh not anymore. My bracket was f***ed either way it turns out. I just hate the 4 guard style, it is a constant reminder how badly the 3 point line needs to be moved back. -

The midgets finished the half strong. They are in good shape to only be down 5, but they gotta hit a lot of 3's to win. Horford and Noah will kill them inside in the 2nd half. -
I can't decided what's more amazing, the fact GMU beat UNC, Michigan State, a strong Wichita State team, and UConn to make the Final 4 out of the CAA, or the fact they had not won a SINGLE TOURNAMENT GAME IN SCHOOL HISTORY as of 2 weeks ago. George Mason only finished 2nd in their league to UNC Wilmington, who the the RS and Tourney titles. They lost twice to Hofstra, who supposedly should have got in over George Mason. This is beyond mind boggling.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) Florida is takin' it to 'Nova. Villanova can't handle Florida's size inside combined with the fact that the Florida guards are doing a solid job of distributing the ball and ESPECIALLY defending. -

Ok their guards suck and are useless on offense. Everybody on that team defends great, but when you guards have little offensive game, it gets you eventually. -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) Disagree on LSU. I think they're the best team left. I definitely think they're better than UNC. Their guards suck. Thomas and Big Baby have been incredible, but their guards suck and I have a feeling eventually that will be exposed. I thought it would be yesterday, but Thomas and Davis were just out of their minds. -

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) I'd call it the biggest upset in the shot clock era.... NCST over Phi Slamma Jamma and Villanova's "perfect game" over Georgetown might top 'em just because of the stage of the championship game. They didn't win 4 games in a row all as the underdog (3 as a major underdog). There is a big difference between a team playing a crazy awesome game with no shot clock and a team in the shot clock era beating 4 teams like this. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:22 PM) Eh, it's not horrible. If nova wins I got 3 out of my ff and both my championship teams and champ. Damn, congrats. That is very good, enjoy the paper.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) Has it hit anyone that George Mason could actually be your national champ? I mean they've already beat msu, unc and uconn, why the hell not? UConn and UNC are both better than LSU and UCLA. If they survive the Florida/Villanova winner, they are in very good shape IMO. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:20 PM) Absolutely, positively fantastic. I've clinched at least 2nd and as long as UCLA doesn't win it all, I win my pool. You might win money, but I bet your bracket itself still isn't too pretty.

My goodness, that's the biggest upset in the history of the tournament. An 11 seed from the CAA that lost twice to Hofstra and was a narrow at large makes the final 4 by beating Michigan State, UNC, and UConn. Biggest upset ever, end of story. -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) I hear George Mason worships the Rally Crede. Just sayin. If George Mason wins the tournament, it's the other way around.
-
Well, NOW how's your bracket everybody?
-
I should have just went chalk and picked George Mason to win the D.C. regional like everybody else did .

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) What do you think is the minimum ranking George Mason will get at the end of the season? Obviously they'll be in the top 25. If it's not in the top 4, polls should be outlawed. -

UConn looking to blow this open before the half. Poor Mason, they haven't played bad at all, it's just UConn is actually playing like they give a s*** today. -

Mason shouldn't have taken the lead. UConn took notice quickly and has bombarded them with 3's. -

Mason doing a great job so far. A couple of stupid turnovers, if they can polish that off and continue to concentrate on the basics like blocking out and not taking retarded shots, they have a chance here. -

Lewis is so clever with those ball fakes and using his body to gain position. Apparently he's going to end up an NFL tight end and he will do a hell of a job. -

I actually own the EA Sports game with Felton on the cover, that game is addicting. Good times. -

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 01:50 PM) Honestly, if somehow George Mason could win it all this year, I would be almost as happy as when UNC won it last year. That would be something else. George Mason winning it all would be just about the coolest thing ever. The scary part when you think about it though is how it's a miracle they made the elite 8, and getting to the elite 8 is only halfway to a title. -

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) 68-70% interest is usually the minimum I will start with, but there are rare occasions when nobody is really recruiting a player for some reason, then you can jump in at like 60-65% and be in the early lead. Yep, well said. Also make sure to get athletic versatile wing players, they are notoriously unstoppable on video games. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) I agree but I think they're going to be ok in this game. This game is going to be tight all the way, book it. I agree it will be close, but if George Mason is going to actually win this thing they have to take advantage of every chance they get.
