Kyle Orton drunk off his ass pictures again
whitesoxfan101 replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
This is only going to get worse next season with him having no shot at ever seeing the field. -
Rick Morrissey calls out his own bosses

If it gets desperate enough, the Tribune might sell either way. Yes the Cubs are one of the few things the Trib has that makes money, but it would also net them the most money if they sold now. -
Cyclones now getting some better news....

Dodie Dunson is an ISU lock if McDermott offers him....he'd be a solid pickup. -

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 10:54 AM) i hate this show so much. The woman host drives me nuts. Dana Jacobson? Oh man she is the biggest f***ing b**** ever. She should thank the Lord she has a vagina, or else she wouldn't have a job. I remember her once saying that the guy suing Antonio Davis' wife was a money hungry bastard because he sued for money, and the wife was an innocent victim. What an idiot. -
I saw video and footage of storm damage in Ames, Iowa on the weather channel just now. Do you all get f***ed up by a tornado twice a year or what? Geez, I see Ames and storm damage all the time on tv it seems like.

http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...cs-home-utility There has been some STRANGE anti-Cubs/anti-Tribune ownership stuff in this weeks Chicago Tribune. Is this some writing on the wall?

Instead of "change the name, change the luck" how about "change the s***ty ownership, not caring about winning, bad GM and manager, s***ty fans, s***ty park, lying about everything, bad health, change the luck".

Vitale's top 10 in 2007
whitesoxfan101 replied to Jimbo's Drinker's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 01:17 AM) Rumors are that he might but it's not confirmed either way yet. He'd be very stupid to go imo. In terms of his game, I agree with you. However he's a top 10 and lottery lock if he goes, and that's tough to turn down. -

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 31, 2006 -> 07:21 AM) Saw this the other day; Now if you're the Bulls, if you could get Pryzibilla, would you then go for someone like Rudy Gay at the top of the draft instead of Aldridge? The Bulls are actually in good shape on the wing with Nocioni (he's a 3 on a real roster) and Deng. The Bulls REALLY need a big man and a 2 guard. I'm not sure Gay can play the 2. -
Good to see baseball picked an unbiased person. Mitchell is only involved in a baseball front office (Boston) and with Disney, who happens to own ESPN, who happens to have a huge MLB contract AND is doing a BARRY BONDS REALITY SHOW. I like the probe, but it's a decade too late and it's the wrong person in charge.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) WEB MD also signed a deal to sponsor their pitching staff. I heard that. Also, the publishers and authors of "The Complete Idiots Guide" book series will be sponsoring the club's manager and GM. -
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) More cherrypicking coaches from the MVC? http://oklahoma.rivals.com/ Makes sense. Turgeon did a great job this year, recruits Texas VERY well as it is even at Wichita State, and Wichita is just a few hours up the interstate from Norman.

QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 09:46 AM) a smoker who smokes a pack per day for 10 years and then quits only has a SLIGHTLY higher chance of lung cancer/disease than a non-smoker. So you wanna explain to me how exactly a brush with second hand smoke on the concourse is a "risk to your health"? That I cannot prove. But there is a big difference between smoking on the concourse and a bar/restaurant full of smoke. But then again, there is a big difference between choosing which restaurants you go to and Sox games, so your argument does hold merit. I am just saying I don't want this to go into the "second hand smoke doesn't exist, people should just smoke anywhere anytime" direction.
-
Haha here comes the "oh there's no proof 2nd hand smoke is harmful" people apparently!! You guys *waves to mmmmbeer* and your lack of knowledge make me laugh every time.

Blog on chicagosports.com RIPS CUBS
whitesoxfan101 replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in The Diamond Club
Downey is an idiot......him and Marriotti thinking the Cubs will suck and the Sox won't makes me VERY NERVOUS. -
QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 08:37 AM) It's socially accepted to ridicule and make fun of smokers. No one ever publically disagrees with any laws or ordinances hindering their rights. I've seen people yell at smokers out of nowhere and the smoker is supposed to take it. Maybe I should have been more clear. A ban in the seating area is fine. I'm talking in more general terms. That I tend to agree with. I have no problem with smokers, my beef is with smokers who think they should be able to smoke anywhere. Smoking is legal, but it's also a personal health choice....so if a person wants to smoke, fine, just please not in my face. Let me also point out that if they took away all smoking areas including designated spots at The Cell, I'd be strongly against that because then your completely taking away people's freedom. Non-smokers can just stay away from designated smoking areas, at least in that senario we have that choice, and that's all I (and those whom don't smoke but are reasonable) ask.

Strip clubs suck, don't do that. Buy a porno if you want the feeling of being able to get something because your 18, but otherwise just enjoy the fact that your a high school senior (I'll assume that is what you are since that's when most people turn 18). Actually, rumor has it you have the fun JUST BEFORE you turn 18 by finding the hot underclassmen girls who developed early and want to get with a senior to get their name out there in social circles. But mind you, that is ONLY A RUMOR, I KNOW NOTHING! Man I miss High School every once in a while....

Deceiving headlines are fun!! If she had a "Don't blame me, I voted for Kerry" or even a "Bush Sucks" bumper stick, ok. But THAT bumper sticker is out of line due to the language, regardless of the fact it's refering to Bush.
-
My guess is that was done by a Cubs/Illini fan. Boy are those people embarassing for the Orange Krush. *sighs*

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 07:53 AM) Generalize much...? Yeah, that's true....sorry. I just hear so much s*** about stuff like this from smokers. I should say "why do some smokers have to be so bitter". It's just I've already had 3 family members taken too soon because of their smoking habit, so it's a sensitive subject for me.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 30, 2006 -> 01:32 AM) Honestly, how many times have you ever seen him play? He's every bit as good as the hype. He'll prove his doubters wrong during his time at Duke. Also, Collins played well by his standards, but I'm not sure if he is a true PG. He was sloppy, and always will be. He is incredibly strong with his dribble and quick down the court, but I was disappointed with his decision making (even if it's an all-star game). Basically, I think Collins is talented and will put up great numbers at Kansas, but the question is whether or not he will help his team win as a PG or as a scorer. He reminds me a lot of Marbury. These are Illinois kids, so I have actually seen them both play several times in person and a few more on tv. I agree with everything you said on Collins, but you seem to have a bit of a Scheyer homer complex. Even in HIGH SCHOOL, all he was was a catch and shoot player (but a damn good one of course, I'll give you that, a lot of points and used his 6'5 frame well). He is going to have to work his ass off if he plans on making any impact at a school with that much talent.
