  1. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:29 PM) Damn I'm so f***ing tired I could easily fall asleep just sitting here. I was so pumped up I punched multiple holes in the wall today. I can't remember being to jacked for a game I was out of my mind. Sweating all game, running around my basement like a God damn fool. Felt like I was stabbed in the heart when that game ended. At least the future is bright. That's what the Flub fans thought after Florida tore their guts out.
  2. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) Hopefully, because this is getting tired. As my friend said after today: "Don't get addicted/attatched to a sport team. Because every time they lose, a little part of you dies." So true, but I foolishly, I will never heed that advice. This year's White Sox showed me that a lot of those parts that die are revived in the joy of winning it all. So be patient, it'll happen one day.
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) Yeah let's just hope the Illini can make it a stable bridge. This year's Illini: Most fretted (is that a word?) about 16-1 team of all time.
  4. Chuck Norris learned everything he knows from Richard Gere. His performance in "American Gigolo" just proved who the real bad ass in the industry is.
  5. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:24 PM) You don't think you will, but you'll have forgotten all about it by the start of next season. And you'll foolishly believe maybe THIS is the year. I'm getting good at this. One day, it will be THE year. Look at the 2005 White Sox, for example.
  6. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) Man it's starting to set in. Football season is over... This b**** is gonna sting for a good 2 months. Use College Basketball Season as a bridge to the White Sox. It's a sound strategy and has worked for me for a long time.
  7. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) I'm just dying to see how many more times Jabroni can say Peyton Manning sucks in this post he's been working on for about an hour. This thing's been driven into the ground. We get it. Peyton Manning sucks. You all hate him. Move on people. I don't hate Peyton Manning. I just think it's difficult to argue the fact he's bad in big games based on his record. Maybe he will prove me wrong one day, and if he does, I'll take my medicine and admit it. But until then, I stand by my opinion.
  8. Blame Distribution for this game IMO: 2/3 defense (67 percent) 1/4 coaching (25 percent) a little bit of special teams (remaining 8 percent)
  9. Richard Gere, with Hugh Grant a close 2nd.
  10. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) It was in green for a reason, but that's exactly what the media does. I know it's just the way it goes, but Peyton didn't lose this game on his own. Whatever though, I will be pissed off for a couple more weeks about this game. Time will pass, and I will forget about this awful feeling once the season starts. I like being teased. Oh no, this game wasn't entirely his fault. That defense tackled like s***, and his line at times played like doo doo. But that's not the point here. The point is this game was gift wrapped for the Colts by the refs and then again by Jerome Bettis. Manning had a GOLDEN opportunity to lead his team to a comeback win and shake a lot of his haters (like myself) while advancing to play for the AFC crown AT HOME, and he didn't do it. He is a great player, but not nearly a money, late game player.
  11. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) Manning's postseason rating is pretty much on par with his career rating. That's due to the stat padding he's done in their wins.
  12. Tight end with the 1st round pick, one of the big 3. Defensive backs up the ying yang, we need DEPTH at that spot. Another WR. Another OL. Another LB to add to depth.
  13. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) So people will suddenly dub him a great QB, if he wins the Super Bowl? Mack Brown was an awful coach before the night of January 4th, and now he's a great coach. Mack Brown is STILL an awful coach. My mother, who doesn't know s*** about football, could have won the national title with that team, mainly Vince Young at QB. Manning is going to make the hall of fame one day, and is a great QB. But he simply chokes in the playoffs, the facts can't be overlooked. He will be a great player regardless of what he does in the playoffs the rest of his career, but until he wins the Super Bowl, he will always be looked at as a choker in the big game, because that's what he's proven to be going back to college.
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) The forecast calls for rain tomorrow, Damn you Peyton Manning! I'm just going to merge this into the NFL thread, being that has become the bash Peyton thread. What part of that article isn't accurate? It's true, Manning is a great QB......until it really matters.
  15. Article that rips Manning to pieces for big game failures. I had never heard of Bob Cook until now, but well done sir! Couldn't have said it better myself.
  16. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) We got away from our gameplan. This is a running football team. Not a high wire passing team like the Colts or Cincy. Awful Game Plan by Ron Turner. Bad Defense and WTF was Chris Thompson doing covering Steve Smith. And I like Peanut Tillman (he has gone on our show and done promos for it) however Nathan Vasher should be the one covering Smith. For maybe the first time ever....I agree with you on all counts.
  17. QUOTE(soxhawks @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 07:57 PM) he plays for the cubs do you expect him to say "ya our crosstown rival who all our fans hate has a better rotation than us , we suck." he just wants to make a good impression on his new team Well saying things like this and acting like a dumbass will endear him to his retarted fan base, so good point.
  18. Peanut is a nice nickel back. That's about it. Problem is, he's our #1 d back right now, and we are going nowhere until that changes.
  19. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) Vasher did his job. They were picking on Tillman all day. Lovie totally f***ed up by allowing Tillman to cover Smith ( I know thats a relative term here ). THAT'S MY POINT!!!! Where the f*** was Vasher? HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON SMITH ALL GAME!!
  20. A lot of this does go on the coaches, to be fair. Where is Vasher? Where is safety help?? That sucks....Lovie and Chico got raped in the ass today by the Carolina coaching staff. But....still, the defense got raped even worse.
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 15, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) 33 days until pitchers and catchers (February 17) 44 days until first Spring Training game (March 1) 76 days until Opening Day (April 2)
  22. I wish those f***s could read this thread. They can all f***ing go to hell, the regular season means NOTHING after that choke today. f*** you defense, all of you.
  23. This game goes 100 percent on the defense. Only thing you can say about the offense is we didn't run it enough, but even there. We were f***ing behind all game, so of course we had to pass a lot. This is all on the defense, bunch of overrated pussies who choked in the big game. End of story.
  24. Thanks a lot defense. f***ing chokers, I hope you all can't sleep at night.
  25. Gotta hit the deep ball. Not enough time left to nickel and dime 'em down the field.
