  1. and all the posters always knocking on your dooo-ooor
  2. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jul 18, 2009 -> 05:15 PM) Serious LOLs. Dick Stockton is the new Pat Summerall. "....Something happened..." awesome, ha
  3. Matty T! weird reaction by the batter with the bat flip. at first, kind of like 'its ball four' and then quickly became 'im out'
  4. I know this is kind of common to do, but can anyone just sum up in a sentence Mark Buehrle's pitching. like: keeps hitters guessing, usually very difficult. except for the couple times a year where he has the craptasto outing. is that accurate
  5. How did wise get on baseEDIT: oops i see the post
  6. The whole point is that alcohol impairs judgment. There has to be a law in place that supersedes one's ability to judge what's best for the whole society.
  7. This isnt attacking the opinion directly, because I do agree with the point of it But Vick wasnt given that sentence for killing a dog, he pled guilty to a bunch of stuff
  8. Carlos Boozer and Halladay have caused me to stay up too long at night. As with Jake Peavy and Ben Wallace acquisitions, if something were to happen it wouldve been nearly immediate and pre-rumor. But of course i cant tell myself this.
  9. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 16, 2009 -> 10:25 AM) 1) Poreda, Richards, 2 mid level prospects for Halladay That wont get it done. Halladay's better than Peavy. In a seven game series Halladay is a huge asset, Peavys an ok one. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 16, 2009 -> 10:25 AM) 2) Ramirez, Poreda, Richards, Fields, Shelby for Halladay and Rolen (with Rolens contract partially payed for) If Toronto isnt blown away by Alexei Ramirez (very possible)...then this offer is almost a Rolen giveaway. We will need to send Flowers, we have to all start getting in touch with that. And thats to even have a chance.
  10. Heh, with Buehrle pitching inside to Pujols, the STL love for Mark came to an abrupt halt
  11. Nice All-Star Defense Guess WSox may not be hosting Game 1 after all.
  12. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 07:43 PM) That's another thing that boggles my mind. Why can we get our guys in in the final vote, but not the original one? Is it apathy? Obama tiptoeing around the abomination that is The Nasty Nats
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 07:43 PM) So its like 80 degrees in STL, and he's wearing a bulky jacket. It just occurred to me, probably wearing a ballistic vest underneath. Lovin' the Sox gear. MO has a lot of gun toting life enthusiasts. mightve wanted to have Pujols out at the mound as well with him the whole time as protection
  14. Was he seriously wearing like sweat pants? George Costanza like
  15. Well he didnt wear a sox hat, however this place has not come apart
  16. I think that ovation just woke LaRussa up as if it were a brake pedal
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 11:35 AM) Considering the White Sox have not signed another team's major league free agent for more than $20 million since December 1996, if any of the reports on what it would take to sign this guy are accurate, I would say the Sox have about zero chance to sign this guy. Thank god he's not another team's free agent then!
  18. It should just be illegal to name someone Lance. Whats the point really
  19. 'Rusty Kuntz' for instance could not make it into a fiction novel for fear of it being too obvious a symbolic character name.
  20. OK there is seriously not a baseball player named Brady Shoemaker. What is with all these goofy ass baseball names. Lance Blankenship, Bubba Crosby, Grady Sizemore, Boof Bonser, Lance Broadway. Lance Johnson actually has two phallic references in one. Baseball has some kind of weird names quota. Football for instance seems to have way more normal names, Ochocincos aside.
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 08:46 AM) Yes. You would have lost 3 years of life because of the stress. And congrats! Hope you had a blast ala The Hangover. Thanks very much - and yeah very hungover right now. How do you guys feel bout watching losing games like this one when hungover? I feel like it's actually better- my body cannot move quick enough to bother getting upset. Like i'm too tired too frown really during this.
  22. I missed this whole game for my bachelor party is this a good thing?
