Give Kenny Williams credit
QUOTE (thedoctor @ Jun 8, 2008 -> 07:19 PM) i think kenny elicits strong reactions from people because he's brash and some people aren't down with that. i defintely agree with this statement, and i think that a big part of it is that white GMs are totally allowed to be brash as brash as they care to be.

to ozzie's credit, his comments always seemed to sense that Alexei had the tools to absolutely be on the big league club, but that mentally he had to adjust some

We'll get an extended look at Alexei at SS now...Cabrera's out and Pab is at 2b

6/8 - Sox vs. MIN, 1:05 CT, CSN
I think a lot of people wanted to see what Alexei could do after that spring of his. Then a few games in, everyone did the usual thing where you get hasty and give up on a guy. And we were so happy about Quentin supplanting him that we started saying things like "Alexei needs to develop in AAA" no.

QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 8, 2008 -> 03:05 PM) Juan "Gone" or might as well be let me also add that Uribe was giving high fives in the dugout after that, so he's not in sulk mode which is what i feared. and i only joke about "gone," because we need a power bat PH...besides defensive replacement

Mean Joe Crede
Sam Smith on CTL advocated releasing Crede when no deal was reachable Then again, he knows less about baseball than his main sport, if that's somehow even possible.

Pls Say Bye Bye AJP at No. 2 slot in order
QUOTE (fathom @ May 26, 2008 -> 06:32 PM) Who cares about taking pitches in the 2 hole? We don't have a base stealer at the top of the order, so you're better off having one of your best hitters at the top so they get more plate appearances. i tend to agree with this. on an ideal lineup, i'd see it the other way. this is far from ideal.

And That's a White Sox Winner in 15 !!!
lets get a mention here for Alexei's defense as well. game saver with DeJesus flying down the line.

White Sox sign Esteban Loaiza/Option Wassermann
Mexicans from farther south in the country would likely think of him in that exact same way. Loaiza is from Tijuana, lived in California for part of his childhood.

"Konerko to the DL" !!!

White Sox sign Esteban Loaiza/Option Wassermann
y'know, it's not like Masset is now barred from going 2 innings ever. if you complained about Wasserman being here, this should be embraced. In certain situations, when RHP is needed, i wont want Dotel in there. I'm fine with Masset getting more setup type appearances.

Walker Article
And I fully understand that Walk has said he would never overhaul Quentin's swing or anything of that sort. But that's not to say he's been 100% silent around him either.

Walker Article
All yesterday, people were saying that Walker deserves no credit for having done anything with CQ. To me, a guy who has shown great talent at the minors, yet HASNT produced at the majors..... that's the type of guy who is aided by a hitting coach. And a source for praise given to said hitting coach. That, plus CQ's having switched from NL to AL. Pitchers he has not seen, etc.
