  1. Borchard was a college draftee who put up a .900 OPS in his 2 minor league seasons. Ian Kinsler was drafted in the 17th round. Didn't he play for Missouri? You really can't make this shit up.
  2. Cooper never coached Wells. Kip Wells played for the Pirates before Cooper was the Sox pitching coach.
  3. Urias? He didn't signed Mejia. Urias and Tatis look like studs, but I still wouldn't trade Moncada straight up for either, though I'm sure others would disagree.
  4. That's fine, but what do Collins and Rodon have to do with it? Now they're busts because Machado wants to play in SD?
  5. The planet where nobody thought Rodon was a "slam dunk future ace." The planet where there is probably 3 or 4 "slam dunk aces" that exist. The planet where Rodon is a young pitcher that's battled a lot of injuries including a major shoulder injury. You don't have to exaggerate every single time you post. Get a grip on yourself.
  6. None of this is true.
  7. It's kind of funny to remember most of you guys spent years jacking Hahn off after he took over for KW.
  8. Jesus Christ
  9. Chicago summers on the South Side are loads of fun. Tons!
  10. Yeah, they're always signing big name FA's. ?
  11. If you're going to play in an empty stadium, would you rather have it be Petco or whatever they're calling Comiskey these days? I'm agreeing with you btw.
  12. He has to play in Chicago though. There's a pretty consistent trend that nobody wants to play in Chicago.
  13. So why even bring up the relievers? They're trade bait regardless of anything.
  14. The relievers were always sign and trade for spects at deadline moves. That was obvious the moment those moves happened. Even if Machado signed yesterday, this team still doesn't compete for the playoff for at least another year.
  15. Your opinion changes every 6 minutes though. You're consistent in that it will be polarizing though. I'll give you that.
  16. That's kind of your fault for buying it. This whole saga is just your poor man's ARod, which is exactly who Machado is.
  17. Now that it's free, you're saving so much cash. You're just like Reinsdorf, you heathen!
  18. When your favorite team's last FA signing was Albert Belle, why let yourself get worked up?
  19. If all this happened, they would suck anyway and be saddled with Machado's contract. What's the difference? Machado isn't Lebron. He doesn't make or break anything. Jimenez, Moncada, Kopech etc make or break this rebuild.
  20. To make Chicago attractive enough to sign for less? It's not really rocket science. If the choices are San Diego or the South Side of Chicago for the same price, well the choice is obvious.
  21. This shit is seriously like porn for Caufield and Jack Parkham. I still can't believe you guys let yourselves get all worked up for a big splash in FA when we haven't signed a big FA for like 22 years. I mean, duh?
