Borchard was a college draftee who put up a .900 OPS in his 2 minor league seasons.
Ian Kinsler was drafted in the 17th round. Didn't he play for Missouri?
You really can't make this shit up.
Urias? He didn't signed Mejia.
Urias and Tatis look like studs, but I still wouldn't trade Moncada straight up for either, though I'm sure others would disagree.
The planet where nobody thought Rodon was a "slam dunk future ace." The planet where there is probably 3 or 4 "slam dunk aces" that exist. The planet where Rodon is a young pitcher that's battled a lot of injuries including a major shoulder injury. You don't have to exaggerate every single time you post. Get a grip on yourself.
If you're going to play in an empty stadium, would you rather have it be Petco or whatever they're calling Comiskey these days?
I'm agreeing with you btw.
The relievers were always sign and trade for spects at deadline moves. That was obvious the moment those moves happened. Even if Machado signed yesterday, this team still doesn't compete for the playoff for at least another year.
If all this happened, they would suck anyway and be saddled with Machado's contract. What's the difference? Machado isn't Lebron. He doesn't make or break anything. Jimenez, Moncada, Kopech etc make or break this rebuild.
To make Chicago attractive enough to sign for less? It's not really rocket science. If the choices are San Diego or the South Side of Chicago for the same price, well the choice is obvious.
This shit is seriously like porn for Caufield and Jack Parkham.
I still can't believe you guys let yourselves get all worked up for a big splash in FA when we haven't signed a big FA for like 22 years. I mean, duh?
