  1. QUOTE (South Sider @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) LOL at the bolded. Yeah, if Robin managed the game "the right way" (whatever that is), the Sox would have won 7.5 to 6. Or 7 to 5.5. Or 7.25 to 5.75. Or they'd still be losing 5 to 1.5 in this game. Maybe take a chill pill. It's just a game. I played the game plenty and watched it plenty. I'm trying to be kind and "best guess" the scenarios. You don't put in Duke in the 8th inning. Zach Duke is a loogy. At best, you thank your lucky stars you mis used a loogy in the 7th inning of a relatively close game, you don't send him out in the 8th, give him a slap on the ass, and say "go get'em" like it's a f***ing summer league game. You put in the 8th inning guy, that is Jones. You hope Jones gets a quick inning and comes out for the 9th. Then maybe he gets an out and you don't use the closer. I could go on about how bunting with a 3 run lead with a guy that gets on base 40% of the time is ABSOLUTELY f***ING BATs*** INSANE. but then I'd get really angry again.
  2. Get rid of this f***ing bum. FFS. No more needs to be said we've all watched the same s*** for 4+ years, first it was "oh he's new". Then it was " get him good players". What will it be now that he has good players and the team underachieves? He f***ed up so bad today it's almost criminal.
  3. RV cost the team at least .5 a run today. Mangers do matter folks. He f***ing manages the 1st game like a real manager the Sox probably win 8-4 and save all the high leverage guys. He f***ing doesn't of course, he tries to steal innings with Duke, and he burns everyone. Now, he leaves in Johnson when he could have left in Latos. f*** RV.
  4. Good thing RV managed the first game so he saved all the high leverage guys. Oh wait.
  5. lol, stone does a great deadpan. it's subtle humor no doubt but I like it.
  6. lol, Avila was like "you serious bro" after that changeup missed by a foot and a half.
  7. kudos to the program director who intro'd sox math and sticks and stones. creative stuff and helps fill the air.
  8. Just a shame they burned through the pen in what should have been a blowout victory in game 1.
  9. lol Benetti, between him and Hawk they might have two good eyes.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:24 PM) Was watching the ball I was thinking the same thing. He must not have been busting all the whole way.
  11. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:23 PM) That's a blown call & a bad one at that. pretty close but easy call with replay.
  12. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:18 PM) Unless Anderson somehow blows this, hard to see the Sox getting 3 to win this. Really? I'm kind of a pessimist but a bloop and a blast sounds about right and then it's a new game.
  13. Saly is a natural athlete for sure. He got such a great jump on that ball he hardly had to move he was already there in the instant it was popped up. Need to see more of him at SS he could def be a great plan B if Anderson doesn't pan out.
  14. f***ing ump calls that pitch like it should be and it's 2-1 count. f***ing BS.
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2016 -> 09:15 PM) Did Johnson just strike out Martinez with a ball right out over the heart of the plate? How? velocity.
  16. well i'm back from the gym and not at work so I'll be a little calmer for this one. Thank f***ing god RV didn't cost them the 1st game.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:53 PM) Not just on Robin/Albers/Duke, but the offense at well for leaving so many runners on. Would help not bunting with your best hitter at the plate and nobody out.
  18. I pray they win this game and someone starts to realize that the Sox have a good team this year, or at least a solid one, and you cannot be f***ing around with a s*** manager like RV.
  19. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:50 PM) He thought the Sox had the game won w 6 outs left. Second time he's made that mistake this year and he's getting burned again. + a million. YOU DON'T MANAGE ON HOPE.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:47 PM) Robin's just the worst. He doesn't have the same excuse he had in Texas, which is the bullpen was tired. He simply didn't use his best guy in another high leverage situation. It's f***ing lazy and hoping for the best. this is my new sig.
