A novel concept would be listening to the coaching and training staff and not being "allowed" to just waive them off. Of course Robert didn't even know anybody's name last year on the staff so he's part and parcel of the problem. This should have been made clear to him long ago. Holy f***. So it wasn't just some regional scout or some s%*# it was 1) our new assistant GM and 2) a guy that should have been intimately familiar with all of Fletcher's flaws. What. The. f***.

Fletcher is a guy that from just reading about him and looking at his stats I thought might be a decent pickup. Then you look at his statcast data and watch him play a couple times and there is just nothing there physically. He's 19th percentile running speed and about the same on all the important EV numbers. He has a strong arm but FFS that's not a carrying tool when you can't hit the ball over 300 feet and can't run. Who is scouting these guys? Whoever it is should be fired.

Another kid that came up and for the most part just sucked ass. I don't even think it's the players at this point it's the org. It happens too often to be anything but. The core is rotten and the fruit rots around it.
