Sadly if he hits 50 this year and slashes 230/330/550 it's either extend or trade in offseason. Can't let him get to FA and only get a comp pick, if he even qualifies based on his status.

I loath JR but as far as signing FA pitching he's probably a broken clock is right once a day on it. If we can keep producing an ace every 4-5 years and supplement that with smart signings and 2-3 other home grown back end starters we'll be doing better than most clubs. Hopefully Ishbia will open up the checkbook but until then we gotta just keep producing quality pitchers.

They all count. Pythag is better predictor of wins until about August. It is well studied.

Apparently actual Japanese like it more than Americans. I think it is corny but hey who really cares. If people like it they like it. I just wonder if Mune asked the Sox to 86 it for now on the broadcasts.

Memorial Day, July 4th and trading deadline are three key points in the season imo. If they are .500 or above on any of those dates start believing -- but also look at the run differential. We're -18 and on pace for -80 and a 76 win season. There's really no indication they are "good" but every indication they no longer suck, which is good enough for now.

get this bum out.

what a play!

that is absolute bullshit.

jfc he's safe what the f*** are they looking at?

safe!

dude is the ump on meth?

bad hitting and fielding conditions a lot of particulate in the air in SD tonight.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

colson running like he's 90 years old.

Hell yea!

Good job. He has a good fastball, needs to trust it more.

one good pitch and he's out of it, come on, fastball up stairs.

not getting any swing and misses on the slider.

colson is crazy smooth at ss, that wasn't that easy of a play.
