  1. Gene Watson I believe.
  2. I heard that guy on spring training, had no idea who he was, and assumed he was a ticket department shill. Someone then informed me he's our shiny new hire from the Royals, heading up scouting. Yikes.
  3. Yea, same takeaway I got from most our guys when I was sitting 20 feet away. It's not a team full of assholes, it's just a team full of horrific MLB players.
  4. Yea, obvious followup to home boy's tweet is "have you seen our squad!"
  5. Our guys on a slippery surface? What could go wrong. Just cancel it.
  6. As someone that has been gym adjacent and in them going on 30 years the explosion in PED use among normies is rather shocking. I see more guys clearly on gear at my gym now in one week then you'd see all year 15 years ago. You can order the s%*# risk free on the Internet for the most part and because guys on the juice rarely admit it, and noobs aren't experienced enough to know the limits of natty, you have this weird thing now where more people than ever are juicing, and yet more people than ever think these guys are just natural.
  7. That's brutal. Dude couldn't even find the real thing? Had to go to some horse roids?
  8. nah s%*# hurts. easily done hitting the bag over and over in season. you can't push off it. it's similar to plantar fasciitis type injury in that you just really can't play with it even tho you're not feeling much pain just walking. you get hurt a lot in baseball just from doing the same thing over and over.
  9. I'd settle for a pizza you find 1/3 eaten by the dumpster in the morning that some drunk threw out the night prior but otherwise looks edible.
  10. kelenic actually having a decent year. huh.
  11. Just stop. Sheets was playing OF in spring training bro.
  12. You are what your record says you are. Period. This is pro sports. Getz quite loudly announced a plan for the team to immediately become solid defensively and with enough otherwise to field a competitive squad the fans could appreciate. And now where are we?
  13. They have a mediocre, but fun team with a club legend in Cutch still performing well enough to give the fans some cheer once and while and are running out some young talent in a stars and scrubs configuration. It really is amazing we can't even match that mid aughts definition of White Sox success.
  14. It makes sense don't overthink it. Getz put together one of the worst offenses of the non deadball era. It's so bad that the impetus must have been trying to get shutout, otherwise it makes no sense.
  15. @WestEddy when he's making game threads in August, he's going for 54 in a row and the forum has long moved onto ND and Bears fall camp.
  16. It's funny I would have really thought @Harold's Leg Liftwould be more in this thread. If there is a singular data point to congrats Getz on it's making Garrett train like a starter in spring and execute it into mid summer to the tune of a Cy Young winning type first half. Cool.
  17. You can get a haul back for Garett now, probably a top 30 guy, a top 70 guy and then a top 150 guy and maybe if Getz plays it right he gets a bidding war going and you get two more decent lotto ticket type 17 year position players. Pull the trigger. I've argued for extending but this is as good as it gets for a pitcher. He'll never again be this healthy and valuable.
