Just an odd career path, one that peaked really at age 23. He was bad but not horrific in LF and had the highest EV of his career and his highest xwOBA as a rookie. He's been horrific at 1B and although he's changed his swing to try and get more LA it hasn't resulted in any meaningful improvement in his overall offensive output. He doesn't take his walks and cheats on fastballs leaving him vulnerable to junk away and fastballs in. It all adds up to a guy that after today's game will have 2400 MLB PA and been replacement level or worse for his career.
