Sox @ Cards 7:15 Central Brad Keller vs Sonny Gray
The Sox' half innings are brutal. It's so demoralizing to a club to have it happen and everybody knows it. It's not all on the players of course. Fucking franchise just sucks.

Grim lol.- Sox @ Cards 7:15 Central Brad Keller vs Sonny Gray
Maybe they are teaching me something however. How's the Lord's Prayer go? Give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change? The Sox are teaching me serenity.- Sox @ Cards 7:15 Central Brad Keller vs Sonny Gray
Score some runs assholes.- Sox @ Cards 7:15 Central Brad Keller vs Sonny Gray
STFU Schriffen, good lord. He gives good feedback in the dugout after he grounds or strikes out? That's not a fucking thing man. Everybody has video and all the analytics they need, they don't need some scrub telling them "boys, he's got a really good breaker!" like it's an American Legion summer league game.- Sox @ Cards 7:15 Central Brad Keller vs Sonny Gray

another college 1B, what could go wrong?- Sox @ Cards 7:15 Central Brad Keller vs Sonny Gray
Keller is 28, I would have bet my life he was at least 30. Getz out here bringing in absolute studs in the prime of their career.- Column on Schriffen...
This is what happens when you're a historically awful franchise. Is it much ado about nothing? Yes, but at the end of the day there's nothing positive to talk about and negativey will run wild. If you don't like what people are saying, change the conversation. Field a competent team. Hire a play by play guy that doesn't need baseball explained to him and so on and on and on.- Column on Schriffen...
Soxtalk admins should just post this and lock the forum.- Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Just a sample size of one but Tauchman has a career isoD of like 1. He's a patient hitter and batting eye doesn't age as quickly as other tools. As long as he can hit 240 he'll have good value. The Sox are not a team that values batting eye in general, been this way since the early aughts, and it's a problem.- Story on Sox trade possibilities...
OPS+ in his 6 war season: 104 OPS+ this year: 52. So he'll still be worth three, right, right?- Story on Sox trade possibilities...
Eloy: no value, would get like a PTBNL and a A baller. Robert: needs to rehab value and prove he's healthy so no point in even talking about this until that (hopefully) happens by mid summer. Moncada: no value, better player than Eloy but with contract situation, no surplus value. Fedde: might get a legit top 100 prospect for him if you package him with Wilson or something. Kopech: no value. Rest of team: no real value. We have the worst collection of MLB "talent" possibly ever assembled and the record reflects it. Maybe with Robert and Moncada healthy we'd have two more wins. We'd still be historically awful. We're not going to jumpstart any sort of rebuild with these guys.- Kopech has added Cutter
A lot of this is papered over by having a strong, trusted personality at manager. The Sox haven't had one since early Ozzie. It's been a series of weak leaders, over the hill leaders, or in Ricky's case, a good clubhouse guy that was clueless tactically and nobody else has bothered to hire since the Sox canned him.- 5/2 Games
96 wRC+ for the league now. 33%K rate is a problem but the power is there and still walking a lot at 12.5%. Hard to say how much of the average is contact problems and how much is bad luck. Probably a bit of both but you love seeing the power the last couple weeks. Those EVs are rare from anybody, let alone a guy that will probably be a below average defensive SS or above average 3B.- Column on Schriffen...
This team is the doom loop virus. Infects all. - Sox @ Cards 7:15 Central Brad Keller vs Sonny Gray
