  1. You'll never get it, if you do, it will be 20 years from now when nobody involved really has a financial interest anymore. The league is so small and incestuous that nobody working in the FO (or players for that matter) is going to step out of line and make a stink. It's possible you could have a guy like Jim Margulus do some muckracking but once again I don't think he's going to bite the hand that feeds him that hard either. We're pretty much just fucked until JR dies, and even then who knows if Michael (if he keeps the team) will be any better.
  2. He's not a cornerstone but he's not a guy you rush to trade either given his value league wide, even if you're (once again) rebuilding. If he can work on his launch angle he can turn into a good regular. Right now he's just another guy, talented, but just a guy and wouldn't return much prospect wise.
  3. Hahn's execution of the initial trades was excellent. The organization as a whole since that move has been awful on every front: scouting, coaching, drafting, asset allocation, trades (and yes) -- fan relations. It was only the initial success of those trades that helped us do the little winning we did.
  4. I think what will happen is that in the offseason they will fire Hahn, and KW will be able to hand pick the next GM as his last great "favor" to JR. Hahn will be fired in the gentlest way possible, sorta like GarPax, almost a mercy slaying at that point.
  5. The breaker is blown on the switch. You flip it, nothing happens.
  6. This club is remarkable alright.
  7. I mean last year's team was better on paper, but they finished with 81 wins. This year we will be lucky to win 65. TLR wasn't the solution but in hindsight he wasn't he main problem either.
  8. TLR is really looking better and better as this season goes on. For whatever flaws he had, and he had a bunch, the team never tanked like this and it's basically the same team as last year.
  9. Clevinger should change his walkup music to Beck's "I'm a Loser Baby".
  10. Yea dude. I was like 22 when I joined. Just turned 40.
  11. Def. I think I joined in April 2005. Anybody that's been here since before the rebuild is OG imo.
  12. Benitendi's expected wOBA is .273. His actual wOBA is .273. He's swinging a fucking match stick. Another genius vet signing by the FO.
  13. Lotta OGs not around much anymore. As much as I tussled with him it's sad to see Ray mostly gone as well. Same with Parkman. I'm mostly just s%*# posting. There's really nothing to talk about other than how much they suck. There isn't really one interesting playing on the roster. If there are some in the minors, they will inevitably fail to develop under this coaching and development staff.
  14. Half the fan base is still in the denial phase. I entreat you hold outs to move into acceptance with the rest of us .
  15. Also Robert: don't see ball, don't hit ball.
  16. Turns out changing your entire approach and swing in order to get doubles into the RF corner isn't ideal.
  17. Def. I have given up however. If the Sox think they are any good, chances are, they ain't.
  18. What's Yolmer up to?
  19. guys I'm starting to think the record is indicative of a bad team.
  20. God our coaches suck. Bring in all these raw latin guys and nobody has the ability to help them. It's so stupid and short sighted.
