  1. He's only working with so much but I don't understand why you'd leadoff Benetendi and have Moncada second against a tough LHP. I probably would have had Vaughn second if absolutely nothing else.
  2. It wasn't his elbow, it was his core and I'm not sure how you can blame the training staff for a rookie not letting the staff know his discomfort level. Jose did a good job in that situation as a Latin leader, but players do need some accountability to their own health. @ptatc and I talked about it some. I believe he said that 80-100 innings would be the cap. I took that to mean that if they can get Crochett to say 25 starts, he'll average about 4 per, and finish around 100. Or he gets 20 starts, is around 5 per, and again is around 100 innings and he'll be shut down sometime in August. He's got a surgically repaired elbow, looks to be in excellent shape, has changed some mechanics -- it's now or never to stay healthy. So far, so good. But it's early.
  3. Fegan is so good. It's a shame he's buried at SoxMachine.
  4. I did think the park looked nice. They've done a good job with the additions and branding scheme. That said, it won't look so nice with 15k in attendance.
  5. It sneaks up on you. At 35 I never noticed anything, at 40 yea, pissing every 90 minutes in the morning after coffee and certain days it's just like every 90 minutes all day. I've done a lot of research on it and there's not much accepted science on it. Some people think it's related to emotional issues in middle aged men, so as regular posters on a baseball forum we're all predisposed.
  6. prostatitis is a real silent killer. You know how much it sucks to piss every 90 minutes and just tinkle it in?
  7. Ron, your contention window has closed. Thanks for a couple decent years.
  8. I like the guy. I liked Jason. I just can't stand them as the Sox announcer.
  9. AI needs more White Sox data. By the time the season is over they'll have it down pat.
  10. We hired another fucking guy that doesn't baseball.
  11. He was dominant. He had fastball command as well as the obvious velocity. Did not leave many pitches in the heart of the plate. Was unlucky really to even give up a run. Slider had a couple different looks it appeared, one almost looked like a changeup as far as movement, the other one was harder with more horizontal movement. Don't think he threw any true changeups, but he had the mix he needed anyways.
  12. Corpseball. It never left.
  13. Kopech tried to make it a 3 or 4 run game but he just didn't have it in him. He made a pitch when it mattered but stuff wise he looked the same as ever. Zero fastball command and the slider usually finds too much plate.
  14. I know you aren't going to s%*# where you sleep but any argument that absolves Getz of blame for the lack of overall org talent isn't going to fly. He was part and parcel of it.
  15. Loyalty is the lowest virtue but in our org it's the most important, including over being good at your job.
  16. Holy f*** this is almost verbatim what the Hahn Defense Force would say in his defense. Guess what, if he doesn't think his bosses are any good or are hamstringing him -- he's free to go work somewhere else.
  17. Getz also needs to ditch the sportcoat and oxford look. I associate that with douchebags.
  18. I should have gotten that OU of -62.5 when it was out there.
