  1. The Will to Win is strong right now. I see an ass whooping today. 7-3 final.
  2. Reset your troll meter to zero, you had a good run, I think it was like 100 posts in a row.
  3. The southern owners don't want lopsided home schedules before summer. They will lose a lot of money.
  4. Yea, it reminded me of being on the beach out at Neah Bay in WA. It's miserable. It's not just the 48 degrees it's the constant blowing drizzle that just never lets up. You do not want to be in that weather without a warm fire and a dry tent. I don't recommend going and sitting outside at a baseball game in it!
  5. Al Yellon cracks me up. Classic homer and old man b**** fest about the game, weather and crowd last night on his writeup: https://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2022/5/4/23056606/cubs-white-sox-recap-keegan-thompson-nico-hoerner-mlb-scores The funniest part is how numerous people that were at the game telling him most the fights were started by cubs fans and Al saying "didn't see any of that around me!". There are idiots everywhere and I'm sure Sox fans did their share of fighting but to completely deny that fights even broke out is on another level. I guess reading it again you could charitably assume Al just meant he didn't see any fights around him and wasn't denying (the caught on video) numerous cubs fans involved in scuffles.
  6. Thanks for all the threads dude.
  7. Baseball doesn't make any sense a lot of the time. Part of the intrigue and frustration.
  8. He was Tom Brady, until he wasn't.
  9. Kelenic with a terrible AB to finish a bad night for Seattle. Don't think they have scored in like 20 innings now. Things change fast this time of year as we saw with the Sox. Mariners were in 1st a week ago now they are back to .500 at 12-12, reeling on a 5 game losing streak. Rodriguez is a natural CF and has insane raw power. I like him a lot more than Kelenic. Kelenic as I've said is a guy that look like Tarzan but plays like Jane. 6-2, 205lbs, chiseled, but can't hit for shit and doesn't take great routes either. That said, Kelenic has played an awesome OF so far. Statcast ranks for Kelenic, lines up almost perfectly with the eye test. Sucks at everything except getting jumps so far and making plays in the OF. 53rd percentile for sprint speed. Average MLB caliber athlete. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/jarred-kelenic-672284?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb
  10. Winner, great job from the pitching staff. Offense did enough.
  11. Harrison swinging a tennis racket with no strings.
  12. yea, like a split squad game at the home park before the real season opener, complete with late March weather.
  13. Michigan OSU is about the only thing I'd pay for.
  14. yea, such is the nature of relievers.
  15. I can't. This weather is miserable. It's bone soaking cold and you're just sitting there on your ass taking it.
  16. Foster throwing strikes at least.
  17. Cubs pitching has not impressed at all. Should be an easy 6-1 or so lead. This is why they are losing so many games you gotta have more competitive ABs.
  18. what the fuck was he looking for there?
  19. when you only are going to throw 50-65 innings and you suck for the first 8.2 or whatever that's a pretty shit start. that's what I'm saying.
  20. I mean that's like 15% of his innings this year it's a pretty shit start.
  21. Relievers lose it all the time tho and three good years for a setup guy is like one good year for a starter. He's looked terrible.
  22. Just throw him out there in a monsoon so he can find his release point. Maybe keep him in a dunk tank adjacent to the bullpen so he can stay moist.
